I would say, Don;t waste money on buying a young prospects but rather buy old cheap vets, sell a few of your young prospect to make money and to make sure they get good training for the U21 team. that would be my first season plan for your team

P.S. read them Manual in the FAQ and remember its a slow game so be patient.

Read the manual and the FAQ. After you're done, read it over again. I can't stress this enough because 80% of the answers are in there.

Don't spend a single dollar on new players until you figure out how to play the game or you'll almost certainly waste it.

Keep asking questions when you're not sure, browse the forums and post questions on the forums. There are no dumb questions because there's a lot to figure out.

Good luck!

Luscombe could be a solid trainee for you. I only regret that you didn't sign-up a few days later with a Luscombe re-gen. He would've probably been worth over $2m if he wasn't turning 19 at the seasonal update.

Congrats on promoting haha. Enjoy the promotion bonus(es). Concentrate entirely on learning the game and training next season. Don't concern yourself with winning in D.III.
