Yep...I know. I bet this issue comes up a lot, especially at this time of year. Bear with me. So, my salaries get reset today and all of a sudden I am bleeding red ink, because my weekly salaries popped. I get that. For the joy of being in a small league, I get plopped into Division 1, where my salary obligation is 180% of TV Revenue, before I even get my team on life support. If I wasn't a previous veteran to this game, this would have been a really unpleasant surprise. However, I expected this. No, planned for it. The salary calculation is correct and I understand why I have been hit with this wonderful gift. What I don't understand is that I played my first game on 12/18/2012. Now, even though the previous owner/bot, played the game on 12/11/2012, let us still count that as Week #1. By my math, I shouldn't have the penalty kick in until either April 11 or April 18th, 2013. Thus meeting what I thought was the 16 week deadline. Now, I was already cutting it real close, but I had planned carefully for this moment of joy, but not prior to the 16 weeks. Was this a rule change I missed. Is it no longer a 16 week grace period prior to getting slammed...lol? I am the Chicago Fire, in the Ecuador SuperLiga.

You'll notice that you didn't pay the salary floor at all. Let me know if you do before the 16 weeks are up and then I'll fix it.

Marin,

Thanks. Got it. So, it was more a cool pre warning, than anything else. Inspired motivation tool! I will let you know if the projection becomes reality, before its time.

Wolph...good advice, but let's be honest. I lived in the USA. I now live in Ecuador. I travel quite a bit, but mostly to locales just as isolated and remote. So that wouldn't be an improvement. Then with all the stuff the BB folks have to deal with, I am going to give them the headache of "special treatment", because I happen to have made the life choice to live here. Doesn't seem fair to them, even if this situation isn't ideally fair to me or others in this position, let alone to the optimum in competitive game play. Let's hope my stadium building in the next few weeks can stay ahead of the red ink, long enough to tread water, train and sell some players, and hope for the best. Not like I am competing for a title in this League for the next 2-3 seasons, minimum, anyways. Thanks for the advice.
