You would need to work on his jump shot and jump range to sensational then make his passing to prodigious then you'll be fine

It depends. What offense are you running? Do you want him to be a pass first or score first PG?
Pass First PG:
Get his defense and passing up to sensational
Score First PG:
Get his defense and Jump Shot to sensational

I wouldn't train him as his age will slow training down. He can be your franchise player, but I wouldn't make him my trainee. If you want someone to train, look on the transfer list. At the beginning of the season, there is always a lot of buying and selling going on. Look for 18 year olds with at least star potential. Try to buy someone with good skills, but for a low price. There are plenty of players like this that can be molded into players that your team can use, if you are patient.

OD if you really want to focus on that guy.

Contrary to popular belief, it is okay to train players older than 18, especially since you already own him.
Pick up a few 18 year olds and train him along with him.
With allstar potential he'll probably cap in about 5 pops or so and you can add a new trainee to your rotation next season.

The potential of a trainee doesn't affect training speed, but there could be several factors as to why he had 11 pops (which isn't to bad, that's a little under one per week).
Training speed can be affected by the age of your trainee. 18 and 19 year olds train fastest, but they won't train as fast as they get older. Another factor could be your trainer. If you have the lowest level of trainers then chances are that you are missing out on some valuable training. Also if you one position train your trainee then he will pop much quicker as opposed to 2 or 3 man training. A factor that some people don't think about is height. If he's a PF/C, but is only 6'3" then he won't pop as fast in INSIDE skills as a 7'0" trainee. Same with a PG/SG, a player won't pop as quickly in OUTSIDE skills if he's 6'8" as opposed to 6'0".

Depends what type of training you are doing as well. A full season of Pressure training will give less pops then a full season of one on one training.
