I never believed in PR Managers except for their special skills (easier road or home games). What they brought in merchandise was alwas less than their salary, and attendance was easily influenced on with road wins. So I always had Lvl 1 PR Manager.

But since my merchandise was low for D.I with a NT player (96k weekly), I listened to advice of our NT manager and bought Lvl 5 PR manager with 21k salary.
Before I bought him, my merchandise was 95.227.

After I bought him, my merchandise is (as of today) 96.529. A whopping 1.302 increase.

So am I missing something here, or is PR manager totally useless in this game except for the speciall skills which are not affected by level?

Yes. From the manual:

The level of the staff member does not impact the effectiveness of the specialty.

That's what it looks like to me. A PR manager is not worth his salary.

Well the PR manager helps with merch and attendance right? So perhaps the difference is more in the attendance than the merch?

It could also be the back to back away games you had.

I've tracked merchandise every week since Season 18, and I've noticed that when you don't have a home game, your merch will drop a bit. So it's possible that the increase you saw was actually better than the net 1302, because it offset what would have been a larger drop.

Of course, I still can't answer how much a given level of PR guy is worth in terms of added merch/attendance. But, maybe try for a couple more weeks to see if merch further increases.

1 of my observations has been, it seems that with a higher level PR guy, you have more leeway, in prices and selling out.

3/19/2013 League Game against Lumber Jacks $ 189 300
3/23/2013 League Game against MastersOfBBall $ 188 156

Your probably thinking, well there is not much of a difference. Except there are huge difference. The Lumber Jacks game I was coming of back to back wins, hosting the 1 seed. The MastersOfBBall game, I just lost to my Rival, my opponent was ranked 6th in the conference, coming of Cup and league losses. So I was expecting $160-$170K, I was suprised to see, I sold out all of my bleachers, and only missed a sellout by 46 Lower Tier seats.

I know that these are not, come all, end all stats, I am going to play around making my pricing more aggressive and see how he holds up.
