Is there any reason all repechage teams enter the consolation at 0-2?
Wouldn't it make a whole lot of sense if you entered with a record depending on whether you won/lost against the other teams joining you in the consolation? (1 game against team qualifying for WC excluded)
Now you have double the teams at 0-2 than you do at 2-0. Plus if you counted the results of these 2 games in the repechage, it is just like you played them in your 1st two games in the consolation. And count the PD.
For example: Canada beat Ghana which beat Iran which beat Canada. All 3 teams 1-1 entering consolation with accompanying PD.
Enthusiasm carries over, why not 2 games worth of results?
