How do I improve this rating? I only have it at 1-star. Does it want me to go buying a ton of older, better players or what?

I would trim my roster down to 12 or 13 players before doing anything. Then as long as you are winning I wouldn't care too much about what the survey was saying. If you are below the salary floor after getting to 12 players you might want to consider upgrading a position or two as well. If not, win games, save cash, build arena and make bird calls.

Yeah, I'm gonna take out some of the guys who play almost no minutes. What is the salary floor?

Salary floor is a percent of the TV money that you must pay unless your team is less than a certain number weeks old. (I think it is 14 weeks or one full season).

So if your league's salary floor was 40,000 and your roster was 30,000, you have played for more than a season than you pay 40,000 for your players salaries. Anything over 40,000 you pay whatever he total is normally. It functions as a salary cap floor basically to encourage teams to either have somewhat competitive teams.

I'm not sure when you started, so you might not be subjected to it.

The most important thing is to what it looks like you're doing and invest in your arena.

I'm not sure I get what you mean about the salary floor, but it doesn't seem like it applies to me, so I don't really care. I started last season, but midway through. I'm trying to build up my arena pretty well, so I think that's good. Thanks for the responses.

Lets say you have a salary floor of 40,000. If you have played for more than 16 weeks or whatever, you will never pay less than 40k in salaries. It just tries to force every team to be somewhat competitive, since there is no real reason to be under the floor.

OK. I understand that better. Is there any real point to it though? Wouldn't everyone try to be as good as they could be?

There are some teams that prefer to play terrible for a season, get a nice draftpick, save a lot of money by hardly paying salaries and then later they invest all that money to perform better.

The Salary floor discourages it. Also, your fans usually don't really like it either which costs you money as well.

So I'd just make sure you make a bit of money every week and at the same time compete and get better.

From my experience, if you're winning, that rating will gradually improve without needing any major transfers. My team has been basically set the past four months- I've acquired two players and sold two players, but both of the "familiar with star players" and "GM doing everything he can to improve team" have been at 4-5 stars every survey over the past two months.

Keep 6 guys and build the for the draft,( invest heavy in the draft).. fire the rest of those guys and keep 6 people..\ Don't worry about promotion this year. Get a good trainer and train your draft picks , or a star of your team to his maxx and hopefully things will work for you

as far fixing the basket ball rating .. Its a bit tricky,

I don't know if I want to keep six people cause that's a bit risky for game shape purposes. But I'm gonna cut down my roster to max 14, probably 12 or 13 players after I weed out the scrubs. I definitely want to invest heavily in the draft and I'm not getting promoted this year. I just want to build my arena up too.

Also, a question for anyone. Those messages that come up after you draft a really good player from the US NT scouts, should I pay attention to those telling me to sell my hall of famer potential guys? Cause I've done it in the past few drafts and they've ended up with scrub teams who don't train them at all.
