This suggestion might seem useless for top league managers, still it could (i hope) sound interesting for the others.
It is about balancing the number of bot teams between Big8 and Great8 conferences, but keeping all the teams in the same division.
The "balance" calculation might occur in the end of the season. 2 teams from each conference would be involved and switch conferences. It could be done with the teams finishing at #7 and #6 positions.
It could avoid having a conference like mine (it is the 3rd season in a row that the situation is the same), where there are 7 teams competing, and the other conference (in the same division) where there are 4 bots (and a noob that will improve ... i hope so :P).

There is a huge imbalance between the two conferences which tends the managers to have unaffordable rosters for div.V. It could become discouraging. It lasts from 3 seasons now...
Just switching the "relegation spot" teams (#6 and 7), or even just one (#7 for example).
