I find people usually buy a lot before play off deadline, and then when the players are not eligible for play offs the prices dip I would assume. Also before the new season begins, there's lots of activity for finding 18 YO trainees (MVP+) and people finding players to fill in the holes in their team for the start of the season

There are many 18 and 19 year old players up for transfer right after the draft, so they are cheapest at that time.

Oh really? I never thought of it that way, I figured since that was the beginning of the season everyone would want them trainees at the start so they could start molding them the way they want (don't want a first week of no training)

There definitely is a more demand, but there is a huge excess in supply.

Ah you are probably right, I'm just thinking about canadian trainees. But now that you talk about all nationalities I can see how the prices are lower
