I think this would be cool. Just make it the Top Domestic vote getter from the MVP voting.
Example...Last season the 3rd place finisher in the MVP voting in the JBBL(Nippon Div.1)was a Japanese player. Maybe on his page have Domestic Player of the year!! Even the NBBA didn't have a Domestic player win the MVP last season.
I guess it would be modeled after some of the top Football leagues....Like the EPL...Player of the year and Top Englishman of the year. Or like the Tour De France, you have a winner and then you have the top French finisher.
Could be cool

The Rookie of the year would be tough because most trainees only play in scrimmages and Cup games.
The other ones are good though.
