is there such thing as streaks and slumps because my starting sg (now on the bench) was the leader of my team, he was averaging around 28 ppg and shooting 48 percent form the field 40 percent from three, now that sg is coming off my bench and the last few games he has been putting up very unsatisfactory numbers. Will my SG bounce back into his previous Kyle Korver like form or will he shoot 5-15 forever...

his name is Etienne Beer BTW

I have to believe that there is a streaks component.

Like you i had a guy lighting it up all the first part of the season, entered the All-Star break clearly No.1, won the 3pt Shootout, then got a 1 week injury and never could hit a shot after that pretty much the rest of the season and cost me games while I stuck with him hoping he would come good, i sold him to a lower level team in another country and he is back firing away like a demon.

Thierry Rousseau (9439085) Ranks #2(World) in PTS / game

There are any number of reasons this could be happening.

You play him at different positions. You could be changing the type of offense you play. Your opponents could be using different defenses against you. It could be the defender he's playing against is stronger/weaker. It could be the quality if his teammates and the defenders they're playing against are stronger/weaker. It could be his gameshape. It could be the number of minutes he's playing. And yes, players do go through streaks and slumps although it's quite possible that it's just the general randomness of the game engine that causes this.

But at the end of the day, don't expect your guards to put up very high shooting percentages. They're generally quite low across the boards on BB for a number of reasons.

Nope I only moved him to the bench because he was not producing... But there was a period of time where most of my bench was starting because of injuries

Ya I do, I recently bought my starting PG off the transfer list and his GS when I bought him was atrocious.

Im going to train GS before the playoffs.

Never train gameshape, just manage their minutes between now and the playoffs and they'll all be fine.
