Yay or nay on an all SF team? Any ideas or opinions on it? I've been thinking about possibly forming a team like that. Obviously it would be more like inside oriented SFs and outside oriented SFs/inside oriented SGs but that's the main idea anyways.

This has been discussed/ raised a few times.

The general feel on this is that after weighing that pros and cons of game engine (reality) and desire/ interest/ experimentation (fun), is if you have the money and time to invest in the pursuit, go for it.

It will take a lot of time to get the training done, and you will inevitably take a good number of losses during that time, however, I personally raised it a few weeks ago in another thread, and I think those who are too competitive would love to see it done but would not invest the time themselves, and the guys who would probably do it most likely don't have the means to give it a good shake.

In the end it comes down to 'who's going to be the one to take the chance and the hit and actually go all in and accomplish it'. Perhaps that's you? Would you seriously give it a crack?

I've thought about this myself and would be very interested watching somebody try it.

My initial thought was that the game engine rewards players that are closer to their natural positions but I'm not totally convinced that's correct either.

I'm highly considering it considering I have two 18 year old future U21 possible starters at the SF spot and I will be drafting another 5/4 A+ SF in this season's draft.

>>> I started the process of having an all SF team this season, just to see in 2 - 4 seasons how competitive it can be in BB. I have 2 Trainees in the program and 1 SF already set. Hopefully the Draft Gods will be good to me this season and I can pick up 1 more Trainee and find another developed SF on the TL next season. Should be interesting to see how well it works in a few seasons...

Good to hear.

I probably should have said in my earlier post, that I was thinking that there was most likely a few teams out there giving it a go, but as it will be a very long process, they are probably still at it.

It would be great if somehow this post brings out some responses from those currently constructing such teams.

@Mad Scientist; can you please keep us up to date with the progess, and perhaps your successes/ challenges?

I have a SF that is the best PG I know of for his price.

I have another SF who's best position is SG.

My third small forward plays best at PG but can play decently well at SG/SF/PF. He's more of a true SF.

My PF trainee is probably a decent SF as well as he has all-around skill set.

I think the salary calc is a bit off...because the SF position can get a LOT of skill points for the price.

I disagree. The low salary is the reward for training a SF properly which is a long and slow process that very few users even attempt.

I agree with your arguments about an all SF team. Having said that, a three tall SFs team(at SG,SF,PF) is very intriguing prospect.
