My team is a USA team. I just have a few questions that have been lingering on my mind for a while and would greatly appreciate some help.

1. Does merchandise income increase as a team progresses up each league? (ex. league V to IV)

2. If every one of my players was from the USA, would my merchandise income be higher than if I had players from many different countries?

3. All in all, would it be worth to have my entire team be all Americans if I am from the USA in regards to merchandise income?

1. Yes.

2. Yes.

3. Difficult to say. USA players are more expensive on the transfer list, and it probably varies team to team whether or not you make that money back from your merchandise bonus. I would say it would be more visible as you promote into D4 and D3 leagues and your players have a higher salary to begin with. A whole bunch of USA players with a $10k salary or lower likely won't have any real difference than foreign guys of the same salary. When you start getting more expensive guys, that changes.

Based on what I've learned more recently, I would say that it is worth it if you have the patience to pull it off. First, because the merch bonus will help your cash flow week to week, and second, because it's just more fun.

I had a star USA player who I sold, and my merchandise income dropped down for a while until I added two new USA starters. Combined with a draftee I'm training and another USA player I bought to train and one backup, I've got about half USA players now.

My merchandise has steadily climbed from about $15K/week to $25/week this season as those guys have stuck around and played key roles. When those trainees become rotation players and then starters, I would expect a greater boost.

If you think about what $10K/week buys you over the course of a season, it's basically paying for your scouting just by putting the emphasis on your country. And the scouting helps you get better USA draftees. So I think it's excellent strategy to make sure you are putting at least some USA players out there in key roles, and even better if you draft a future star and train him up to be great (even better if he's on the national team, of course, but that's beyond your question or likely goals right now).

i played BB before and when i started playing again for some reason i bought foreigners and i spent so much money. like 1.5 mil on getting the perfect group of of foreigners. and i realized my mistake to late. since D5 my merchandise has been low. i promoted and to D4 and got 17k/week but now that the promotion bonus has worn out i get 12k/week. I plan on drafting some americans but i didnt have a good scouting and only found 3 great one but im 8th pick. and with that i would have 8 foreigners and 3 americans. i will train them maybe only 2 of them depending. hopefully they become my centerpieces and merch gets high. im trying to stay off the transfer list

I would suggest getting at least one starter from USA if you possibly can. I monitored the transfer market for weeks looking for players who were good fits and also American. It can be done, and you might not overpay if you are patient.

But even one regular would probably bring up merchandise quite a bit, I think.

I hate to be so bold, but I wanted to make sure you knew your options. Have you considered investing in the draft?
