You haven't seen many of these today, have you? Anyway, I got some pretty good players in the draft, and I'm wondering how I should train them.

First, my number one pick, Leon Cruz. This was the guy I was targeting, and I'm very excited about him, he doesn't really seem to have any holes. OD and HA definitely need some work, but that can be fixed pretty quickly.

And here's my third pick (I'm selling my second one), Brock Villaneuva. I actually didn't have this guy targeted at all but I really lucked out.

Owner: The Thugs

So how do you think I should train these guys? Would their training plan actually go together? I'm thinking of making them both into combo guards, but I'm not sure.

Yes i think they fit together very well. I would train OD and 1v1 for guards to start.

I agree with EBW, both look like pure guards. OD and 1v1 should be the way to go for the first season or two. Consider adding passing, JS, and JR later. It would be nice to get some big skills, but primaries should be the priority. Also note that allstar can cap out quicker than you think, so plan out your training after he turns 20 or 21. But that 7 IS looks nice.

Okay then, thank you. I'll train OD and 1v1 probably this whole season. And what would be the best way to do OD and 1v1? Should I do OD 1 week, and 1v1 the next so the elastic effect doesn't kick in, or wait until they both pop in the skill I'm training, or just have a set number of weeks to train each skill?

On a sort of related note, what chance do you think Cruz has of making U21? (I'm going to be doing 1-position training the entire time.)

Mainly focus on OD for the first few weeks. If he fouls out, then switch to 1v1 guards if you can get him 48+ between his PG and SG minutes. On short weeks (Allstar break), you can switch to 1v1 as well. It really depends on how many trainees you have. If you only have 2, you can try and stick with OD. The key is that you want all your trainees to get 48+ in a training position.
