My team has bad passing.
Pg - 8
SG - 7
SF - 4
Pf - 1
C - 6

Ideally, I want my SG to spot up shoot, my SF to drive and my bigs are good at posting up.

Is Patient something I should look into? Any other information needed can be provided.

Sounds like look inside or low post is your kind of offense then. You SF and bigs will get lots of shots and your SG will shoot mainly when he is open.

With weaker passing, therefor lower game flow, should I be looking to slow the game down with low post, or keep it more up tempo with look inside? Now, don't get me wrong, my posts are good, but my SG is highest DMI(Whatever that counts for...) so I would prefer him to be taking a lot of shots. I just don't want to forget about my bigs because they are efficient.

I think i would go look inside. Btw your teams game flow actually isnt that low compared to your other ratings. I just looked at your games from the end of last season and you seem to have a pretty balanced team. I also dont take into account DMI usually. To me it is just a silly number... But yeah i would still play LI.

I understand how DMI can be looked down upon, especially with close players. But 124300 v 12100, theres a reason my sg was upgraded. Which, in fact, has not played in any actual games, so my games at last season don't take into effect the new player, which arguably could be my best. He and my SF are the best shooters. My bigs are great to work off.

Is Look Inside playing more of a Inside - Out game. I feel that would be the best. Though, I know, before upgrading my team, the match-up predictor I used suggested the implementation of Run and Gun.

If it suggests run and gun and your bigs both have even decent jump shooting skills I think that would be a good idea. It is hard to make an accurate suggestion however because I cannot see all your players skills. Pretty much it comes down to this:

Look inside gets your SF and PF the majority of the shots followed by the Center and SG and then the PG.
Run and Gun gets your SG and PG the most shots normally followed by the SF and then the PF and Center.

I believe if the matchup predictor suggest run and gun though, then you should follow that and see how it works and then you can change tactics later if you do not like it. BTW Motion is very similar to run and gun except it takes more 2 point jumpers and run and gun is more 3 point jumpers so if your team doesn't have very good jump range then you could look at motion as well. Many options haha.

Look inside will mostly focus inside. It will make your SF (and SG and PG) drive to the basket. But the shots of your SG won't be that great (in my experience).

Patient usually focusses on getting the ball to 1 player. so this won't get your bigs+SG involved. Also the 1 passing on your PF might not help

Motion would get jumpers for your PF, SF and SG of which quite a few will be 2-pointers. This won't use your "post up" moves.

I'm not experienced with an offense that uses both your insides players inside skills and the SG well. Maybe Push the Ball but I hardly play it so can't really say.

DMI is affected a lot by game shape and is really not that great to look at. Salary might even be a better indication. A better way to make your point would be to just state why you think he is your best player.

My SG is my best player, but now that I am reconsidering stats, purely scoring related, my SF beats him out. Passing/Rebounding/Defense my SG Is better and makes him a better player. I will look into motion, considering my pf has decent shot, but terrible range.

Would it be the safest bet just to use a matchup predictor after a couple of games to look at stats?

P.S. Mentioning Game Shape on the DMI after the reset having everyone at 7 GS now, so maybe its more accurate for this one week? Idk, i'm still learning.

DMI is particularly weird for this partial week between the S23 Finals and the start of Season 24's first week of games.
Friday morning, you will see a DMI update that reflects all of your players true DMI at the same GS of 7.
At that point, it will be relevant and can be used for comparing players.

Right now, it still has the DMI update from last Friday which incorporated last Friday's GS ratings, but it is lined up next to GS of 7 for everyone (since GS reset with the S24 roster update) so it truly is a Downright Mysterious Index until Friday AM.
