According to http://www.buzzermanager.com, he would still have 20-26% of cap space left to train, and would have a salary of $23,889. However, due to his height and age, it would take some time for him to a get pop in an inside skill.

He can still be trained, but it would take longer to train his inside skills, since he is a short guard at 6'0", and he is past his fastest training years. Guard skills would be a little faster, since he is short, but it would not train as fast as an 18 year old, per se.

More importantly if training him makes you most excited to play buzzerbeater. Do it!

Looks like a good prospect.

Ild train his jump range for the majority of the season as it'll have a nice +elastic effect and +bonus from his height.

Should get a pop every 2-3 weeks on JR.

Okay thanks for your help! I really want to get him to be more like a small forward so inside skills and jump range will be trained all season

If you were looking to just keep him salary efficient, training him in inside defense C would do that. He would get roughly 2 pops a season and be a very efficient defender.
If you wanted a better all-around player, I would suggest one on one forwards. Training him this way would keep his salary relatively low while making him a more complete combo-guard.

He's too old to try to convert to a small forward type unless you strictly do Inside Defense. His guard skills are outstanding. I would personally go the guard route.

Okay thanks for the advice I was going to do inside shot/defense, one on one for forwards, and jump range the whole season. I think he should improve greatly

Be warned, training ID will be a very slow and painful process because he's short and already 24 years old. Those 2 pops might take all season.

Personally, I'd give him maybe 1 pop of ID and then move onto passing. Passing is significantly more important than JR IMO. Even players with high JR don't make very many 3's but it adds a lot of salary to the player.

Still, he's a very nice player.
