Okay so I don't want to waste my money on someone who isn't very good. I am looking to play an inside shooting game, so I want to buy a SF, PF, and C who will be able to do well on the scoring and rebounding. Should I be looking for youth and build up my team overtime or look for good player now? I took over the team at 0-4 in the season so probably won't get promoted this season. Also, should I still look to buy an SG and PG even though they are not as important for me? Thanks for the help in advance :)

1st off, you were dealt a great hand to start off. Your team maybe 0-4, but you were dealt an ACE, (31380558)! I know his skills probably don't look that great right now, but with some training, he could a beast for your team and England. If I were you, I'd stay right here in the forums and get help on how to train players. A player that is born on your team and a you take the time to build into a great player is worth more to your team, then you could ever get by selling him.

2nd, Invest in your arena http://www.buzzerbeater.com/team/91462/arena.aspx . Your arena is key in Buzzerbeater. The bigger the arena the more fans you can get to come to your games, the more money you'll be able to generate to buy better players, etc.

He got an 18 year old MVP? No fair, I want one!

Should I base my future team around him? As in change the offence type around him etc? Also I assume you can not see his stats so should I post them here so you can help me know what I should train him in? Also, for example, does only training the PG's improve their stats much faster than training the whole team?

I would base my team around him, thats for sure. The offense you run, isn't going to matter for a while. If you make him a Point Guard or a Shooting Guard, for a while, he'll be sub par. You can buy Power Forwards/Centers, who are already trained, and you can run your offense through those players now. So you can always flip your offense, when Jeffery is ready.

Yes 1 position training is MUCH faster then whole team training. Also note that, in order to get credit for a full weeks training, you only need to play 1 game, from start to finish, without sitting down. This is noted by a 48 plus, on your Manage My Team page. So you can find another 2 players (18 year olds) on the Transfer List to train, along with Jeffery. Just be certain, Jeffery gets his 48+ minutes 1st, then your second player, and a 3rd to pick up any scrap minutes (30+ a week)

Definitely base your team around him. He is 18 with very good potential, and his height will actually really help him train. (Smaller players train faster for guard skills). You couldn't have asked for a better player, in my opinion. Very good start to your BB team with him.

Big thing is deciding what kind of BB experience do you want. We can all give you advice but some people have fun doing certain things in the game vs. others. If you enjoy "training" then yes this guy is a guy that could probably train till he's 25-26. And be a guy you claim as a homegrown hero. But training isn't as fun as people think. (its fun when you see pops, but its tough to manage a winning team, and get guys proper mins again depending on how players you are training and how tough your league is etc.) Other people find fun in shopping the transfer list and buying and selling players. Some Managers want to be good right away others want to slow roll and gradually build.

If you are trying to gain funds early to build arena and get players. You could train that 18 yr old MVP guy for 1 season and then if his salary is 4k plus you could seel him as a 19 yr old MVP for well over 500k and use that money to get 2 players and build your arena.

Or you could keep him and train him till your heart is content.

BB is great because we all have different styles, we find different things fun, and in the end the only person that it matters to is you.

Look for 18 year olds with 7-8 potential and terrible GS who are listed for more than 75k and were bought for less than 5k and never played in a game. Then look for guys like that who are still listed at less than 5k and buy them.
