So I'm wondering if BuzzerBeater has any plans to move from, what seems to be, a quickly becoming an outdated flash game to a more up to date HTML5 game?

Reason I ask, my old smartphone I got in 2011 could support flash but now my Galaxy S4 and even the S3's I hear don't support flash even after you manually download it. New tablets are having the same issues with flash too.

Does anyone know anything about this? I would like to view my games on my other devices along with some friends of mine.

Thanks,

btw, I don't know much about flash and html5 just what I have read when trying to get flash on my new phone.

People have been asking about this on and off for 6 or more months now in various threads. Flash is no longer officially supported by Adobe which is why the newer versions of chrome don't support it and hence newer android phones don't support it. I have the same issue with my Motorola Razr M.
So BB will have to make the move eventually (as will websites across the world) but to my knowledge there has never been an official comment from BB about when it will happen. But if Marin ever wants a beta tester for it please let me know :)

Cool, thanks for the response. I think an android app that supporters could get for free would be awesome at the very least.

Building an app would be the expensive way to do it as you then have to build an iphone app as well. Converting the viewer to something else would be the most cost effective way for BB

Yeah a quick look into something like Google's Swiffy, or one of the companies that speciallise in conversions might be a good idea. I wonder how many people start, find it cumbersome, and give it away.

It certainly makes sense to somehow future-proof the game a bit, also with the uptake of mobile devices (phones/ pads) there has been a shift how and where users are accessing it.

exactly .... if they don't move away from flash soon (like every other website that has flash) they will start losing people as the advertised viewer will not work for most people. As it is today it doesn't work for some and that will just slowly continue to grow over time

Well, that's not that bad, you don't need to install flash to watch lives games, there are several browsers supporting flash you can download from Google Play, App Store or wherever you want. But yeah, I agree, BB should replace flash with HTML5 as soon as possible, although I understand that is not easy.

I just used UCWeb, a browser that comes with my smartphone, and after installing flash you can watch to the live.
