Never was able to get a good feel for whether the bump-up of about $10,000/week would be justified to upgrade from basic to advanced level. Can an advanced level PR guy increase your attendance by the equivalent of almost 1000 bleacher seats or 250 lower tier seats?

Opinions please....

(Thx!)

Not much experience here, but I believe that higher level PR do pay off. Depending on the league of course. For higher leagues, I think advanced is always going to be profitable. For lower leagues, maybe competent or basic.

I think the main problem is, that people are penny pinchers, and are afraid to invest, if the investments revenues are not transparent. Advanced pr costs about 12+ per week, I think it will easily pay off in attendance and merch.
For lower levels, a competent one. He costs 7+, while the atrocious costs 2k. 5k isn't much really, it should pay off this way or another.

The effect of a PR Manager is minor. Basically if you are moving up levels to a higher PR you need to justify it. I was able to buy a PR guy for $9000 with a $10,000 salary as advanced. However, I don't think he has done much. But I got him for such a good deal I figured he was worth keeping around for a couple seasons.

My best estimate is that the PR guy has an effect of about 3-5% per level on both ticket and merchandise. Also many people have come to the conclusion that it helps more with a losing team than a winning team.

My opinion, which could be completely wrong, is that I wouldn't waste a single $$ above a level 1 PR guy in division 4 or 5. Once you get to the higher divisions then gradually improving your PR guy to a level 4 might be a worthwhile investment but even that's no guarantee.
