I am having a big brain fart and can't remember the minimum minutes needed to keep players game shape the same. Is it 30 or 35 minutes? I don't want to have to play players in the scrimmage game if I don't have too so they won't get injured.

GS is not an exact science, a lot depends of random.

30/35 is quite low. Aim for 48 as a minimum to don't expect a decreasing GS, but this not garantee it.

The thing is I don't want to have to play starters because they could get injured during the scrimmage so I was hoping 30 minutes would be enough to keep their game shape

Shoot for 60-65 minutes a week. Try not to go below 48 and definitely don't go above 80.

Most importantly, use scrimmages to balance your weekly minutes and don't worry if you win or lose them.
