some stamina is useful, but not too much, because then you'd have a hard time managing minutes

stamina never reaches above prominent (10) and usually for my team the sweet spot is between 4-7 (inept-respectable)
at least for me, some other teams probably think of something else. Some stay low stamina (your range; 3-5) but it never hurts to train stamina, because too little stamina (1) causes players to under-perform in the 4th quarter of key games and cause more fouls.

I have seen my team lose a lot of close games this year, so I trained stamina in the AS week to try to see if that makes a difference. We're missing a lot of shots in the final minute, that's for sure.

In your case it might also have to do with experience. Just a thought though.

I have a very experienced team, no? Four of my starters are 31+ and everyone is at least a 6 in Exp with three of them 9+.
