Dire

I know you will do a great job but what are you hoping to achieve in the period you could be running the team? And how long do you think it will take? While you can not be sure what will happen in 2 seasons do you think you may stay longer? Will you be able to set things up enough in one term?

How will you make the offsite forum more active? There is a solid group in the 21 NT section but the rest is a ghost town.

Dire,

There is no doubting your credentials or your motives, Im sure that you would do an excellent job if elected.

My question or chalenge to you is how we can get the 300 Australian Community members, of the 429 who exist, more active in the game, so that they know what a forum is and what is the best way to train young Aussie talent.

If we could involve and educate the "not so active" 300 Australian Managers, then we could actually strive to be one of the leading nations in this game and perhaps have a chance of winning a world Championship.

Most of the Div 3, forums are barren of posts, suggesting bbmail might be the only way that we could reach these not so active Aussie Managers

Goal is always to keep improving. We do have some of our NT main stays getting to the point where they'll need to be replaced soon so will be a bit of a balancing act of reshuffling the team while keeping NT success going but i think we can do it.
2 seasons can be a long time. I think that should be enough time to set up the NT again but we'll have to see how it goes.

For the offsite forum, as you say the U21 section is going really well at the moment which is naturally where a lot of the future NT players will generally come from so i'll try and make it more of a progression of going from U21 straight to NT - at least as far as the community aspect goes.

Most of the work with the young Aussie talent is being done with the current U21 team which is doing a great job with the coaching team put together over there. Most of my work will be making sure those NT potential players are kept in contact straight out of the U21 side and continued to be mentored. We might even need to set up a team similar to the U21 coaching team (albeit a smaller one).

There will always be those that don't get in contact with the U21 team or just aren't on that radar for whatever reason so yes, there is always a lot of bbmail as well trying to communicate with the "not so actives" and trying to get them involved too.

Your campaign seems to have the momentum of a runaway freight train. Why are you so popular?

Good luck with the NT gig, I'm sure you'll do a good job again (if elected of course)

Obviously Dire answered but he was involved in the training thread offsite a number of season ago. Dire and Iwen helped direct my team to where I am today. I'm not sure if many others used that particular area of the off-site but all I got was useful information.

What will happen to the current NT players who are over 32?

Jackson Mansfield was cut from the team when he was 34. Funnily enough he did not drop one skill point that season. I'll be expecting some skill drops this season for him though.

I'll get straight to the point. Will you be cutting cutting the 34 yr old Kye Duffil from the NT team if you get the NT gig? My vote and my influence (GM button) will weigh heavily on your response to this question. =P

lol well obviously any NT players on your roster will remain on the team and get starter minutes for full merch profit ;)

Seriously though, with the apparent lack of scouting the last couple of seasons i don't have a proper grasp of who all of the up and comers are yet. It's likely Duffman will get dropped but i won't know for sure until i've done all the up to date scouting (assuming i get the gig).

Loved mllamas "Lisa" question. Mine is almost as bad.

As the greatest manager of all time and someone who is currently training some of the best big men the NT has ever seen will you be able to show patience and guidance for those much less experienced managers who only have a fraction of your knowledge? How will you try to guide those players who are not yet on the team but with the correct training could be in a season or two?

Haha quite the ego boost there yoda! :P

I've done 4 seasons as the NT manager in the past when Australia was a less developed BB country and was also mentoring players back then as well so i know what i'm getting myself in for and wouldn't be putting my hand up if i wasn't ready for that sort of patience and guidance again.

Every player and every manager is different so each has to be handled slightly differently. Generally the ones that are only a season or so away are the easier ones. It's those that stop early and never let their players reach their potential that are the really disappointing ones. Hopefully more involvement as a whole (personal communication and general forum activity) will mean we lose less of those types.
