I just noticed that this player that I bought recently (17039076), has never hit a single free throw in his entire 12 year carreer. Granted, he has atrocious FT rating, but if you can play basketbal you should be able to hit at least 1 FT in 500+ tries (cup games and scrimmages included).

I'm guessing he has absolutely 0.0 FT rating (sublevels included), and that the GE simply calculates that he has therefore no chance to hit a FT... but I think a player should at least hit 10% of his FT's.

Ok yes if the intended purpose is to have players that will never in their life hit a free throw, it is indeed not a bug because it's working as designed, though then my argument would be that the design is flawed since any physically able person should be able to hit a free throw at some time ;)

Well bro, if I don't train this guy in FTs soon, he will be going in the same direction!

Just imagine a player with a decent jumpo shot(let's say 10 or 11) where he can't hit a single FT.....ironic isn't it...

Also, since these players got drafted and scouted, they should have at least have some basic skill even though it's atrocious. You're not gonna tell me a player with Atrocious all over the board can't do a single thing on the court but still got scouted and drafted? Even lucky fans hit FT's.

well sad thing this can be avoided by just 2-3 weeks of FT training. That's even more ironic:)

I agree, but those who train young players can afford to lose training weeks when they can train more important skills.

Here's a concept that in my opinion would be the best and most logical - FT related to JS. It's very reasonable that a player who has JS 15 has at least 6-7 FT. It's absolutely stupid that he can't hit a free throw but hits 7 of 9 jump shots during the game. When JS pops, FT also does, but in lesser degree. However, for those who want to get faster FT ups, the option to train it independently should stay.
