If this guy will be your SF then train OD to make sure he is good enough to play at your level(or higher ones.)
Once he gets older it gets really hard to OD.You can train Rebounding when he gets older because it pumps up your salary.
You should get a advanced trainer.

I would do his rebounding last, because rebounding counts toward his potential cap, no matter what position he is listed at. With just 6 potential, you will have to plan out his training very carefully, to avoid capping him before you are ready.

I'd start with OD, PA, IS, and then 1v1 on weeks where you have only 2 games.

Most important to decide on a final skill set that you want to work towards. It depends on what offense you want to be able to run though. Off the top of my head, something like

13/9/14/9/14/10 12/10/6/2 would be a solid player, though I haven't checked to see if that fits in 6 pot. Might be close to too much.

It's over the low end of the cap without factoring in that JR and SB were reduced, but it's not over by much so is pretty doable even if it's a low-allstar cap.

Get his handling up first with some One-on-one forwards (use a five man rotation with your four other young guys) then go with Outside Defense once it hits 5 or 6, mix in a few one-on-one forwards or maybe some passing while you build his OD. Then worry about the rest. Try not to worry too much about your other young guys, they'll get their occasional pops, focus on your trainee.

I agree with the previous poster, if you believe in elastic effect, you must pump some handing first. It should go really fast in the beggining

That definitely stinks. BOO!

Do you have any doctor at all? If not, you might think of going to a level 2 or 3 doctor. Can definitely help.

Also, if your trainee is the type who draws a lot of fouls, you might have to scout your opponent and put your trainee in an offensive position where he will be defended by a low fouling player on the other team.

You can always train stamina or free throw- both of those will train injured guys.
