I feel I must make this thread, since everyone else has, and if movies have taught me anything, it is succumbing to peer pressure is always the right move.
Recently, I received a PM from some student at Georgia Tech. He's been following the debate closely, and he thinks I'm the best candidate. I thanked him, but then got a passionate response back about why others should vote for me. It is just too great not to share. Pronouns edited for all of you.
"Choose Oriolekid because you want us to do the impossible. And his plan is equipped with the innovation and ideas to help us do just that. And so in the words of Sir Oriolekid himself: “If I accomplished more, it is by learning on the shoulders of giants.”
Oriolekid is proud of his many traditions, but the one you should find most exciting is his tradition of excellence. His mission as manager is not to follow in the footsteps of the Jelmes, the Magiker, and Fewmits, who manager before him, but to exceed their accomplishments, and crush the shoulders of those giants upon whom we all learned from!
We here are all such dedicated people. So I am telling you, if you want to dominate the game, you voted for Oriolekid, we can do that! If you want to increase the talent in the pipeline, you voted for Oriolekid–we can do that! If you want more speeches like this every week that perfectly encapsulate what I want to do with the team, like a badass , you voted for Oriolekid–we can do that! I am doing that!"
That speech touched me like none other I've ever read. Don't just follow my words. Follow this random GT students words.
Take my hand and I'll lead you all to world domination.
