Team: Lawrence Park Panthers(24945)
Manager: Mr. Burns
Country Rank: 1
World Rank: 122

First lets meet the Roster!

Guards

Herman Kearns(13233235)
One of the greatest Canadian guards in history. A virtual lock for Canadas NT season, he is hitting his prime, at age 32 this is his last season before suffering some skill drops, his experience and skill level should help to lead his Panthers. Kearns was picked up in season 12 for 1.5mil at the age of 18 and was dealt with the role of being one of the Panthers key players in the future. He definitely is. His accolades include:
- 5 Allstar Appearances(4 in Naismith, 1 in II.4)
- 1 MVP Trophy(Naismith)
- 1 1st League Championship(Naismith Season 25)
- 10 Competitive U21 Games
i. T-34th in Career U21 Assists
- 76 Competitive NT Games
i. T-4th for single game Assist record
ii. 4th in Career NT Points
iii. 25th in Career NT Rebounds
iv. 4th in Career NT Assists
v. Has recorded 50+ assists in a single NT season(one of 14 times)
vi. Has recorded 200+ points in a single NT season(one of 8 times)

Romeo Lavigne(13232229)
Another great 32 year old Canadian Guard purchased in Season 12, except for 2mil. Doesn't quite have the same resume as Kearns, but very few players do. An opening roster NT player last season, Lavigne is fighting for his spot on Canadas NT roster as Canada heads to Brasil for the World Championships. His accolades include:
- 2 Allstar Appearances(Both in Naismith)
- 1 1st League Championship(Naismith Season 25)
- 8 Competitive U21 Games Played
- 15 Competitive NT Games Played
i. 33rd in Career NT Assists

Thomas Simmons(14641072)
Purchased in Season 13 to complete the Canadian Guard trio for 922k. Simmons has been playing in Kearns and Lavignes shadows his whole career and thrived there. His accolades include:
- Allstar Appearance(Naismith)
- 9 Competitive U21 Games Played
- 1 1st League Championship(Naismith Season 25)

Bigs

Pierre-Charles Jutras(11816593)
In an effort to create a dominate Canadian team, Mr. Burns picked up Jutras in Season 24 for 866k from the Phillipines. Jutras has been an NT mainstay for seasons, but has now turned 33 and his spot on the NT is in question. His spot on the Panthers is not however and he hopes to continue his dominance at the international level. Jutras is making his second appearance at the B3 tournament as he made it there with BC Sadp pa mazo(51790) in Season 18. He averaged 17 points, 13 rebounds and 1 assist in 10 games as his Latvian squad made it to the quarterfinals before being knocked out by Thrylos BC(42308286). He hopes to make it further this time around. His accolades include:
- 10 Allstar Appearances(3 V.14, 2 Virsliga, 3 PPL, 2 Naismith)
- 4 MVP Trophies(3 V.14, 1 PPL)
- 1 Cup Win(Latvian Cup Season 17)
- 1 1st League Win( Naismith, Season 25)
- 82 Competitive NT Games Played
i. 6th in Career NT Points
ii. 3rd in Career NT Rebounds
iii. 27th in Career NT Assists

Terrell Lachance(17731512)
A Canadian big man to round out the All-Canadian rotation, Lachance is a fringe NT player who is fighting for a spot on Canadas NT once again! Purchased in Season 25 for 550k to help the NT and push for a Naismith cup, Lachance has proven his worth and more. His accolades include:
- 5 Allstar Appearances(3 III.11, 2 Naismith)
- 1 MVP Trophy(III.11)
- 1 Cup Championship(Albanias Cup Season 24)
- 1 1st League Championship(Naismith Season 25)
- 21 Competitive NT Games Played
i. 45th in Career NT Points
ii. 40th in Career NT Rebounds
iii. 47th in Career NT Assists

Bench

Lawrence Pickens(13232516)
The resident Big man bench player. Picked up for 1.6mil in Season, Pickens is a great efficient player with loads of experience under his belt. With already one B3 appearance with two different teams, Pickens knows what B3 is all about. Making appearances with Celtic Guardians(185887) and MartiouUnited(89028) in Season 15, he never got out of the group stages and averaged 7pts, 4reb and an 1ast in 21 minutes. His accolades include:
- 1 Allstar Appearance(II.2)
- 2 1st League Championships(MBA Season 14, Naismith Season 25)
- 6 Competitive U21 Games Played

Jan Holmes(11817121)
A guard bench player, Holmes wont be playing huge minutes at the B3, but will need to keep up with the B3 level players when he does. Purchased for 350k from the same team as Lachance in Season 25, Holmes hasn't been on the team long. His accolades include:
- 3 Allstar Appearances(2 III.5, IV.44)
- 1 1st League Championship(Naismith, Season 25)

Elie Beauchamp(16415999)
Picked up for 217k in Season 24, Beauchamp is another bench player who sees limited action. His accolades:
- 1 Allstar Appearance(III.14)
- 1 1st League Championship(Naismith Season 25)

Waterboy

Guillaume Beaulac(2628022)
A member of the Lawrence Park Panthers since the day the franchise was created, Beaulacs playing days are over, but he still contributes with words of wisdom and encouragement. Never making any international noise, he was a key contributor to the Panthers during the first 9 seasons of the teams existence. A Panther till the end. His accolades include:
- 9 Allstar Appearances(all in II.4)

So that's the roster Youll be seeing at the B3 level, lets move on to their schedule!

The Schedule

Quick Roster Look:

76k Big Bernie Jones(24424712)(Jamaica NT)

10k Bench Lukas Manzke(9336557)
12k Bench Fabian Ifran(24402715)

With HCA and an obvious skill and depth advantage, the Panthers should come out on top convincingly here.

Country Rank: 1
World Rank: 216

Quick Roster Look:

86k Guard Mubarek Vira(11836217)
57k Guard Pietro Rossini(10739546)

130k Big Leon Dutt(20781849)
43k Big Witold Nowaczewski(9654954)
34k Big Zulfiker Hasefe(11837951)

Burns once again with a massive skill advantage here. Another easy win for Burns.

Round 3

Home or Road: Home
Opponent: Hualele(44535)
Manager: theViC
Representing: Bolivia
Country Rank: 2
World Rank: 4470

Quick Roster Look:

107k Guard Petko Zarev(21229820)
46k Guard Hugo Dimak(6919720)
36k SF Raul Martinez Castro(9733274)
18k SF Stefanos Dandikas(27548614)
11k SF Vincenzo Gambino(27476646)
170k Big Esteban Arce(19742862)(Bolivia NT)
118k Big Carmelo Aristimuno(19742856)(Bolivia NT)

For the third straight week, it should be a cakewalk for the Panthers. 3-0.

Round 4

Home or Road: Road
Opponent: Metallist Kharkov(44258)
Manager: Iron 121
Representing: Ukraina
Country Rank: 1
World Rank: 4

Quick Roster Look:
161k Guard Arkady Fogel(12040640)
126k Guard Mao Ansheng(10642261)
26k SF Jeroslavas Veiverys(13465138)
243k Big Evgen Burimenko(12108408)
110k Big Cheuk Ka ta(16933647)
94k Big Marton Drugics(6159606)

The first real challenge for the Panthers. Metallist Kharkov are making their 15th B3 appearance and have been quarterfinalists 3 times including last season, where they went 7-1 in group stage before being knocked out by pirulos(65398061). Fortunately for the Panthers, Fogel and Burimenko are 33, Ansheng is 34, and Drugics is 38 and this game is being played Round 4. So there will be 3 weeks of possible drops before these teams meet. With Kharkov at home, this game could be a real nailbiter. Without too much scouting being done, this game looks like a tossup.

Round 5

Home or Road: Home
Opponent: king of monoi(51910)
Manager: KOM92
Representing: Lebanon
Country Rank: 1
World Rank: 212

Quick Roster Look:

124k Guard Corentin Guichard(19506143)
97k Guard Gregory Pasquier(19504613)
47k Guard Hosni Skojha(10977931)(Lebanon NT)
280k Big Frederic Delannoy(22724100)

Well, right now with only 4 players, Burns has the obvious advantage and should come out on top. There might be moves made beforehand, but at this point, at least 4 wins by this point.

Round 6

Home or Road: Road
Opponent: FlaSabino(65067)
Manager: MacLister
Representing: Brasil
Country Rank: 20
World Rank: 856

Quick Roster Look:
155k Guard Evair Vaggione(13217451)
143k Guard Osmar Silva Prado(11799672)
74k Guard Egidio Costanzo(11304811)
44k SF Jovan Tarabic(6906282)
135k Big Regis Limeira(16489112)
117k Big Pierluigi Ragusa(14626579)
116k Big Jean-Baptiste Lafleur(9410020)
108k Big Ateneu Mariola(12618047)

With this being a road game, the Panthers aren't in for the easiest of games. The Panthers have a slight edge, but itll come down to GS/enthusiasm as this team at home looks solid. Luckily Costanzo and Prado are 34 and 33 years old respectively, so some drops will be due by this time of the season.

Round 7

Home or Road: Road
Opponent: Oslo Mushroomheads(41438)
Manager: Sharooz
Representing: Norge
Country Rank: 1
World Rank: 35

Quick Roster Look:

112k Guard Angelomario Minardi(13337195)
94k Guard Zhuo Shaoning(17825240)
60k Guard Thomas Sorenson(17825240)
49k Guard Emmanuel Ulleta(8014349)
62k SF Rafael Dito(11868154)
34k SF Andres Clotet(13200526)
26k SF Jens Hellell(13502477)
179k Big Omar Gavardi(11923305)
128k Big Hasan Huseyin Sagun(14663293)
81k Big Joe Caldeira(21316334)

The Mushroomheads are making their 5th appearance in the B3 and are coming off a disappointing 3-5 record last season. They seem to have a balanced, deep lineup and with HCA, could very well be trouble for the Panthers. Edge to the Panthers, but a close game nonetheless. GS and enthusiasm will be huge.

Round 8

Home or Road: Home
Opponent: Panthere(41328)
Manager: claudinompa
Representing: Nigeria
Country Rank: 4
World Rank: 3321

Quick Roster Look:

101k Guard Nandor Sepsey(24249890)
72k Guard Eric Cassez(14919846)
63k Guard Alper Simla(20845241)
61k Guard Audronia Venskis(14261456)
27k Guard Fortunato Furlan(13347115)
122k Big Walter Hugo Nunez(19280387)
63k Big Joy Ude(28833587)(Nigeria U21)
54k Big Ivan Vesligaj(16827195)
16k Big Raanan Salomon(28747877)
13k Big Isah Khomu(30095951)(Nigera U21)

Not a very strong lineup and with HCA, the Panthers should roll!

Prediction

The Panthers have 5 guaranteed wins and then 3 tough road games. I think they'll beat the Mushroomheads and FlaSabino, but fall to Kharkov. Which will leave them at 7-1 and a spot in the knockout stages. A lot depends on avoiding injuries, maintaining GS and hoping that Jutras doesn't drop too much. I think Burns can make a little international noise. Should be fun to watch!

Unless his opponents make further purchases, that's 7 guaranteed blowouts.

That was incredibly cool of you Bballin! I love that Guillame Beaulac made the list of players. His 100th career Canada Cup game goes on Thursday. With 400 career Canadain League games and 100 career Canada Cup games he has over 500 games played in Canada with over 6000 career points, 1500 rebs and 1500 assists combined. The question is when he should retire. I'm leaning towards never.... ;)

First game vs. the Kingston Beginners is tomorrow at 7pm est. As some in the Canadian Community might know I'm not a regular forum poster but I'm usually online in the chat function of the game viewer. If I'm not online for the beginning of the game I won't be for any part of the game. That being said, I'll will be online tomorrow.

Goto go back and reread everything. Lol.

Thats a great schedule. Good luck. Hope you make Canada proud. First look at my schedule made me terrified. Hopefully I am overlooking something. Can't wait for Bballin's writeup and will then share my thoughts as well. No large PD for me, so minimum of 7 wins is a must. Will be hard without SG but hopefully I can pick one up (introduced tax really hurts) and somehow squeek into top 32.

Will try and watch as many games as possible
