Hey,

I just won my league regular season and was curious if teams that don't win the title will also get promoted to fill up the bot spaces in the upper leagues. I know this happened last season.

Also, I can already see some people thinking it. And I know, I'm going try and win my league anyway and not worry about. So don't bother with the taunting!

there will be another bot clean up so if you did really well this season the chances are good that you will be promoted...but nothing is guaranteed. given your record at 19-3 i'm pretty sure your chances are high.

Awesome. Oh and thinking of a buddy of mine who finished tied for last in his div, will he be regulated to D.V? Because there are very few leagues down at the level that are active.

This happened last season to another friend of mine from D.III to D.IV though. But he landed in a league of bots that he was the only manager in for the whole season.

i don't believe there are any active teams in D.V...pretty sure IV is the lowest we go for now. i was supposed to be relegated last season since i took over a team that was at the bottom of the standings, but i wasn't actually moved down to D.V. D.III is another story since there are actual active teams in D.IV...but your friend should be fine since D.IV isn't completely full with active players.

Does the division ranking decide if you promote due to the bot cleanup or does your playoff end result decide?

It's strictly by regular season record.

Last season, the extra places were decided by in the regular season:

Conference finish (1-8)
Wins
PF-PA
PF

I think it will work the same this season since it means that a team with a good record that gets upset in a one-team playoff still has a reasonable shot at promoting.
