Season 27 Great 8 Power rankings:

1. Clovis = Best 1 through 5 players in league, possibly best in this league in last 10 or so seasons. The weakness is backup for guards/SF positions. Barring injuries, odds on favorite to win Great 8 and the League title.

2. Jersey = Front line is excellent and PG/SG are very good. SF is below average. Backup players could be an issue.

3. Carbondale = Solid starters at all positions and good backups at all positions. Will likely battle with Jersey for #2 seed in POs.

4. Logjammers = Very good front line. Will have weakness at one of the guard positions. It will depend on where Barbosa plays. Should compete with Buffalo for the 4th Playoff spot.

5. Buffalo = Excellent at SF and VG at PG. Average to below average at other 3 positions. Sold their dominating PF in off-season so it looks like are setting up for next season or late in year pick up.

6. Blazers Good at SF, average at C/SG and below average at PF/PG. Will likely play in relegation at end of year unless get active in free agency.

7. Double Dubs = Interesting line-up, has large athletic players at Guards and SF positions. Their Bigs are very weak. Will be playing in relegation unless make FA pick ups.

8. Clermont = Excellent young talent led by SF Wong. Unless training goes unexpectedly well or some big moves in FA market, they will likely drop to Div V next season.

S27 Big 8 Power rankings:

1. los indomables = Has a good SF and a poor PF. Is average to below average at other positions.

2. Maguahutil = Good PF, average to above average at SG/PG. Is poor at C/SF.

3. Durdens = Has the best player in Big 8 at SF and he will have to carry the load for this team. Below average to poor at all other positions.

4. Wild Dogs = Good at SG and rest of team is average. Will be fighting with Nuggets for #4 seed in playoffs.

5. U K Nuggets - Best young player is injured. Is probably saving money for late season or next year push. Could be here or DV.

6. Polar Bears = This team has a ton of cash in the warchest. Will he pull the trigger this year? He could be planning on dropping to DV for one season.

7. Team Dinero = Poor at all positions. With out help in free agency this team will be in Div V next season.

8. Stallions = Poor at all positions and has not logged in for 3 weeks. Look for a replacement manager for this team.

I'm going to avoid relegation. But I probably won't be very competitive this season

Won't keep my roster all season. Might sell off at least one starter.

Matias Multaniemi of The Wild Dogs comes up clutch in OT and sets a career high, scoring 52 points, in a thriller against the Big 8 juggernaut that is Maguahutil.

Matias shot 7-11 from behind the three point line, pulled down twelve rebounds, and dished out four assists.

People are already starting to compare his game to that of Kevin Durant.

I have no way of looking at your team's stats. I just went through position by position salary comparisons for each of the teams which gave me a "guesstimate" of the relative strengths. The average, below average, etc ratings are strictly the players CURRENT status...your training during the season can improve them or their aging process could degrade them.

Depending on the league strength, the Championship teams for D4 typically have a starting 5 salary total of $125K-->$200K

or

$25K-->$40K average salary per player.

So it really wasn't rocket science (as you can see some of the predictions are off), just time and a little grunt work with a calculator.

Go to the forums or type "Buzzerbeater hints" in your search engine for some helpful hints. GL m8.

Well I tested D.IV League now it's time to tank next season build cash, go to D.V and start building some talent on the front lines to actually be competitive. Great experience and a lot of knowledge gained from you lot. Hopefully I'll have a powerhouse team in the next 3-4 seasons

You and me both on tanking. We both have been around for a long time. And id go for back court, inside players are cheaper to buy
