I've been playing BB for a long time off and on however my team just hasn't been able to promote to III. I feel like in order to promote I have to get better players however that comes with a higher salary. Another option is to train players, however it seems to be taking a long time. In 2 seasons I can bank 1mil and buy a player whose skill is better than the potential my trainee will realize. Any advice?

I think training is always beneficial. As for your team though, I don't know how your GS looked last year, but if you are keeping it high enough, than I would say your only problem is lack of depth. Your starters are very good, but they have no backups that can put in quality minutes, so the game is heavily favored to your opponent once they sit on the bench, or if your starters do not sit down on the bench, then they will probably receive too many minutes and their GS and overall skill level will go down. Bottom line add more support to your team. You do not need any more star players, just 8-15k players that can provide as solid backup options on your team. I think if you add three-four backups within those salary ranges, you should win your league with ease, considering that you have a couple of very good players on your roster already.
