Is it just me or have the prices in the Transfer list significantly increased??
Im trying to buy a SF or a PG around 15-22k fom about 22-27 years of ageand the Prices are all around 800k-1mill?!?
I believe this is ridiculous considering I've bought a 42k Jamaican NT player for just over 500k.
Is there a particular reason for such high prices??

the reason is of course Utopia. There are over 1200 new teams in this season in Utopia. these teams are trying to buy some nice players with their little money to reach the III. league. So that increased the prices of the low salaried players in the market. They will become normal in 1-2 season I guess.

Canada Purple Haze BC
That makes no sense at all
There's not a single Utopian team that has yet amassed $800,000
so none are able to bid on the players he;s writing about

Why not? you can save up this amount of money since the league started. it is not wise, i know, but possible.

but the rise of prices for better players comes from the money that is thrown on the market, not from utopian players. you see, if there are about a thousand teams that start with 300k and nearly half of them spent their money on the market, the liquidity of all other users also rises. (we are talking about 150 Million)

that is why the prices are going up.

short term: older, cheap players and trainees became more expensive

long term: average and good players in higher price ranges will also become more expensive.

Very good question and made me thinking.....
So 300k at the beginning. 77k per week tv-contract.
Maximum 4 homegames so far.
If you haven't used money for players, then you have won max 2 rounds in the cup and arena income average about 55k per game.

On the other hand, you must have some players and staff, lets put some 15k + 6k per week.

Now when we have got 3 financial updates, maximum with above figures could be something like 788k. Not sure if anyone has been so lucky that can win with original players couple cup matches....
With selling good original players it would be easy to have that amount of money. But majority of managers are still stick into half of that I would say.

I fully agree, prices will raise several seasons now....quite many will tank money and when they start to use money, also average players will be sold with higher prices.

I spoke on this before in other posts, because of tax exemption it raises the prices of your older/younger hi skilled players to afford on the market, they are more attractive on the market because its a greater need for them or they are of great value because everybody going young also exp/ great skill win games.. this goes for trainer as well.

It will be awhile before teams are in it to afford such players. I have spoken on player value rise before, its not a myth. This does not hurt the game but it hurt lower teams l. Because they are capped, no new team can compete with a upper class teams in the lower leagues and price to afford is going up every season. Plus teams, will tank to the lower leagues to afford decent roster under this newly made cap. They call sell and make millions off older player with high exp and skills.

Which is what you see that going on. Just run through a few new team transaction history.. It almost amazing the money they are blowing. I have spent 3 million in players in about 10 seasons but I have put 4 million in my arena. which is 3600 seats off 20k seats.

That may seem high to some but that is very , very low and very smart spending.. Because as you noted player are going for much, much more.. than ever before. For some leagues team 700k is the minimum normal price for a player.

Not to preach danger ahead, but I don't think its going to get any better in the future with utopia, that's pretty much who is the best farmer. From the looks of it , its going to be very pricey to your shopping in china for players.

why not?
if you increase the value of cheaper players, they will push up the value of the other players too...it's a dynamic system

There's a team in my Utopia league that's already spent 1.6M on the TL (and, of course, has sold players for 1.9M). As long as people can supplement their income by fleecing idiots, there's no point in analyzing the economy based on gate receipts / salaries/ etc.

well it going to be common now I assume. it not about getting rich per say, its about pushing the market. like you said supply and demand.

I've noticed, but even before Utopia it seemed as if players are being sold at higher prices...
