This is an evolving idea, so bear with me here.

I would like to propose the ability to sign our own TV contracts.

How this would work is when a team signs up for BB they are given a couple different options for contracts. These contract income outcomes could be tiered by divisions though.

So, the basics of my idea is you would get maybe 3-5 contract offers at the beginning of the season. Each contract would have its own goal and may very based on income potential. The higher the income potential, the riskier and harder to achieve. Like let's say I get 3 contract offers this year.
1) Make the playoffs and have an average attendance of 12,000--$164,000/week
2) Win a championship without losing more than 3 games in the season--$210,000/week
3)Have 2 players make the allstar team--$175,000/week.

You would get these offers and you would choose the one you feel would be best for your team. Now, if you don't full fill the TV contract requirements, you may get penalized by having less generous offers the following year. On the flip side, if you accomplish the goal with it, you may be offered more money the next year.

To take it a step further, and this could be discussed, we could sign contracts for multiple years. This means you might have to compete during your whole contract and try to win. I think this could bring more competition into the game and more ways to build and strategies for the future.

What do you guys think?

I also think they could be different depending on your division you are in. Like someone in the top leagues could have a contract offer with a goal with winning the cup,and if they don't do it they could be penalized the following year,but if they do win it they could have a higher tv contract.

There are so many possibilities with this.

i think its a good idea but i think it should be fair to bad players too, im new here and my team is bad so i think contracts should be like this

1) small base pay for playing big pay for wins and making the playoffs (if you get to the second round of the playoffs this contract pays the most)

2) medium base pay for playing medium pay for wins and making the playoffs (this is an intermediate contract its what you should take if you dont know how you will fair in the season)

3) big base pay for playing small pay for wins and making the playoffs (if you dont make the playoffs this contract pays the most)

Great idea, this would give more flexibility to all of us.

Besides the TV contracts for the winning teams, there should be some other options for the new joiners, such as ...
5) Manage to win the relegation series - $150,000
6) Win the first pick of the draft - $120,000

So what you're essentially saying is more money for everyone, then.

i dont like winning the first pick of the draft either, it just seems wrong, if you want to give new players a bonus, they could be like this

your team scored there very first point

your team got there very first win

your team has now won ten game

your team has improved there record over last season

...

im just thinking from my own experience, but i started in division 4 it took me a few weeks to get my first win, and i was really proud of it, the 200k doesnt last long, with my staff salaries and how small my arena was and the fact that i set my prices way too low early on and couldnt change it, it was just a lot and that 50k a week helped alot until it stopped coming
