Last Saturday my team gave me a positive surprise. This was a game I thought I would surely lose as I needed to let my starters rest and thought I would add a little to my team's enthusiasm level by playing TIE. I have a long-term plan of which games I definitely need to win and which I can let go (like this one).

I played TIE, my opponent played Normal.
I played with my reserves, he played with his starters.
I had better game shape but his was not catastrophic (6-7-7-8-8).
My GDP was correct, his was all wrong.
I assume I had a much better enthusiasm (10).

The punchline for me is that the sum of salaries of my starting five in that game was 30k while his was... 190k!

Anyone else has examples of such games where salary-wise it was impossible for you to win but you did?

Well, you forgot to write that you also had HCA in this match. It made your team stronger too.

Also, he don't have any good bench players. All of them are 2-3k draftees. His salaries are so high, because the 3 best paid players got 50k... They are young, but they have big salary, so they are probably monoskilled. Look at Blankenship (he is on TL for 2kk... )- he have 1 in PS and 2 in OD...

Actually, he don't know how to spend his money. Just another overpaid disivion IV team... (I have some of them in my league )
