I've noticed overall from a team perspective my passing could use some work. How much of a factor does it play in a game?

Obviously some. As to how much, I guess it is debatable. My starting guards all have <10 passing though (except my SF trainee that I play at PG sometimes) and I am doing pretty okay in D.III, so I don't think yours is that much of an issue. If you have good rebounding, defense and scoring, the passing isn't as much of an issue. I also like to say that generally if you have a high passing PG, your SG only needs like 7-8 passing and it is usually okay. I just wouldn't get guards with passing below 5-6 .

If you get the ball to a big man who doesn't have a good shot, would you rather him get a good pass off and maybe get an assist, or turn it over?

Good passing at all positions is extremely useful. You can survive without great passing on your guards if everyone has good passing.

Hi,

Imho PS >> RB

High PS value overall will create more quality shots. I think PS being main reason why LI was/is so OP - high % and high quality shots.

To sum up PS very important.

passing has a strong influence on creating good shots. the more the better. inside players with good passing are a great bonus.
