Is a Small Forward considered an inside or outside player?
I want to run a Box-and-one Defense but am not sure which one to mark up with.
Thanks

A SF is a mix.
He is the middle.
They are supposed to be well rounded player.

Stick to man to man.
The other defenses don't work so well.
It's risky.

Yea what sparky said, SFs are well round players who shouldn't really have a hole at all (especially defensively)

And with the defense part, don't always run a box and one defense. i personally like to match my defense with the opposing team's offenses (like if they run motion a lot, 3-2 zone. Or Patient, man on man)

But in the case the team is too unpredictable (like 1 day motion, another day base, another low post) Then it is best to use man on man other then try and guess their offense and get burned. Trust me one time I tried 2-3 zone when they gone RnG. Not pretty ;)

it depends on the players you have. You have very good defensive bigs I guess.
