Righteo, so i received the below player in the Utopia Draft, and didnt spend a single $ , so whilst i was expecting to fire all of my draft picks (as i was expecting crap) im going to keep this bloke.
Can someone please tell me the following as i have never trained a player
1) What level trainer do i obtain? Advanced or higher?
2) What skill should i focus on? I am thinking of inside shot as his defense and shot blocking is good already.
Below is the player
Austin Bird (34207169)
Owner: Metamorphica
Weekly salary: $ 2 693
DMI: 0
Age: 18
Height: 6'7" / 201 cm
Potential: perennial allstar
Game Shape: respectable
Jump Shot: inept
Jump Range: awful
Outside Def.: inept
Handling: pitiful
Driving: pitiful
Passing: inept
Inside Shot: awful
Inside Def.: respectable
Rebounding: average
Shot Blocking: respectable
Stamina: inept
Free Throw: atrocious
Many thanks.

His guard skills are not very good, so you should probably focus on making him a PF. Due to his PA potential, an advanced trainer should be fine, maybe a superior one if you can find a cheap one.
I would recommend focusing on 1v1 forwards, as that will train his handling, driving, and IS, which all need work (for a season or so, try to get HA/DR up to 9/10 each). From there, consider working on IS, OD, and passing (up to 7-10, depending on what kind of build you want). Add a bit of IS, ID, REB, and SB and you should be good to go (until he caps). You might consider getting a bit more OD/Passing to 12 or so before he caps, but I think that has to do with how patient you are with training.

From his size, I would make him a SF. But it is a hard an long way to train a SF. I do the same and it is really tough.
