What do you think the key points are for running a successful program here in Japan (and by "successful", I merely mean attaining achievable goals)?

The number one goal would be to offer help and try and ensure all Nippon players are trained who can be a part of the 21 NT and NT going forward. Losing potential players by them not being trained can limit a nations limited resources.
Then those players who are skill ready to play are game shape ready also.

Looking at the groups for next season the side should make the 2nd stage of the Asian Championship but making it much further will be difficult at this stage. I would like to think by the end of 4 seasons the players drafted this season trained well within Nippon or by overseas managers would be able to make it further.

Communication with managers within the nation and any others training Nippon players and engaging them as much as possible to vital for a successful program. I did notice you making the most post within the 21 NT thread last season. I would hope to make sure that does not happen again.

Working on the assumption that you mean you'll post more than me... and not banning me! HA!

If elected, are you going to be creative? What's your opinion on *blanks* (probably the last season it's an option at any rate)?

I'm not a fan of blank in real games. You pick how you can beat someone and need to make sure you get the correct guys in the correct spot. It is ok in Scrims when you want to see how people play and where the system thinks its best to play them. But in games that matter I am not keen on it.

I generally set the each lineup as a standard each week so if something ever did happen that would effect me being able to put sides in the previous one would be used. But that has never happened in 4 seasons on 21 NT.

And I plan on posting often during the season to keep managers in formed of what is going on. I set up a federation for Australians which has over 50 members. Just about all Australian's with supporter and also used an off site forum for discussion in private about players skills, training etc. Would like to make sure there someone where to do for here if I won so those who are interested get a better ideas of what is going on. Is there something being used atm only Nippon managers can access at the moment?

We *do* have an off-site forum that I started a few seasons ago, but it fell off the planet due to lack of use. I can resurrect it if you wish...

As NT Manager I will support someone who I think will do the best job in promoting the development on our players. We especially have a problem with a lack of good Bigs in the pipeline. Can you share a little on your own player development approach?

I have trained bigs a lot myself with one of my current players playing 2 seasons as a starter at PF for Australia 21 NT.
For 21 NT bigs need to focus first on their main 3 skills. IS/ID/RB all to sensational level. Then depending on the players potential level the focus from then. Last season in Australia we had a manager train 2 great bigs who both started the season as 60k bigs in 21 NT. One was a superstar potential the other HoF. Once the SS got near his level of potential to get the most out of both players I advised the manager to focus then on their outside skills until the SS was maxed out.

While it is better long term to train a bigs outside skills first I have found that most managers will lose interest in doing a few seasons of outside training before making them a solid player. I have in the past suggested that most player train the main skills for their position and once they finish their 21 NT season they move to be a more well rounded player. In fact I suggested to one manager he was unlikely to make 21 NT so should move to the bigs outside skills before being 21.

For me the 21 NT manager needs to work with the NT manager in how best to achieve training goals for both teams. At the end of my 4 seasons with Australian 21 NT I sent a pm to the NT manager listing the skills and current training plans for each player with enough potential to play NT so they can take over advising the future training to suit the senor NT.

I think you're going to have to adjust your expectations. Australia's a big BB nation... Japan, not so. You're more likely to get *well-rounded* players here.

I know there will be limits which is part of the reason I'm interested in running. Has anyone else applied?
