Hey guys,
Ive recently drafted a gem pg and im looking to develop him over the next few seasons.
Most of his stats are well rounded being mediocre-average sort of thing.
Although there is one stat in the black and it really bothers me, that stat being "Inside Shot".
Is it worth training that stat up 2 levels just to even him out a bit more or should i leave it and assume inside shot is very ineffective for PG

Note: I wouldnt be training his IS to anything silly like 10 or anything just like a 3-4

Well it depends on what offense you like to run and what you want him to do. If you play inside tactics at all, he will need to get up to at least 3-4, if you want him to be kind of effective. I personally would just give him some 1v1 forward weeks and hope for a couple IS pops.

It depends on what type of PG you want, and more importantly, the type of offense you want your team to run. If you're leaning towards an outside offense, his IS shouldn't be much of a problem. On the other hand, if you want to run an inside offense, you might want to spend a week or two training IS @ C.

Just an additional note: JS and 1v1 training may give him a cross-training pop in IS, but it will probably take a while for that to happen.

Thanks guys,
I think ill get a couple IS pops in him first couple weeks, then move onto his over stats considering ive heard inside offenses are most effective in buzzerbeater.
Cheers again for the help.

Well I think that if Inside is an important game in BB then teams should build up some massive passing and 3-5 IS.

I assume you're talking about Tom Morrissey, and with his potential being P-Allstar, I suggest you spend a season training IS on him (doesn't have to be the entire first season). If you only train his primaries, he'll be capped out relatively soon, and if you train IS I believe he still has enough time to reach his cap. If his potential was higher I'd suggest just leaving IS because it would possibly mean you won't reach his cap, but for a P-Allstar it would be good to train secondaries.

Im not sure about training a whole season of IS, but certainly this season, you would want to be doing at least a couple of weeks of either IS, or 1n1 for forwards.

if you did that over the next 3-4 seasons, you would get your 3-4 IS pops.

With regards to IS on a PG, there is a fair bit of debate going around, so this is just my opinion (which I will back up with stats).
Go look at the FG% of guards on the transfer market. Use a filter to filter those with IS Less than Medicore, and those with IS greater than Mediocre. Assuming most play at PG/SG, you will find that the greater the IS, the greater the FG%. This is because IS is related to inside shots INCLUDING layups
BUT has a greater influence for things like dunks/putbacks/shots in the key. Because he will be a PG, he won't take as many dunks/close range shots that PF/C will. But driving layups. definately. i think this is the point which some people will disagree, but just use the numbers you find from the transfer market to decide for yourself.

So in general, for a PG, IS being atrocious = bad. IS being medicore = not bad. IS being Strong or above = awesome.
