I've noticed that when a team gets a defensive rebound with as little as :02 remaining, it's able to go down the court, run a halfcourt offense, find the open man under the basket and hit a short jumper. I realize computers move faster than people, but geez!

I think any possession that starts under :05 should be either a desperation 3-pointer, OR a timeout should be needed to set up higher percentage shot. Sorry if this has been addressed...

5 seconds? Have you never watched basketball? It is very capable to dribble the entire length of the court in 5 seconds, without even passing the ball. Even with 2 seconds, as long as it isn't an easy layup, It makes sense to me. Sure it might be pushing it sometimes, but it is very plausible. I agree timeouts should be used in those types of situations, but the GE has problems with when to use timeouts it seems (And that has been addressed a lot). Haven't heard that many people complain about the shots right before quarters, but I'm sure some others have. I personally do not have a problem with it.

I believe all the hip cats call that the Tyus Edney.

I just assume that the clock in BB is inaccurate because it just is. It can be almost 40 seconds at times for steals to register, so I figure that the possessions ending at 0:02 that are followed by assisted layups or whatnot are just offset by a few seconds too. And maybe a timeout that BB gratefully doesn't show since sitting through timeouts in the game viewer gets old.

also it is assumed that its a dribble up the length of the court.

could be a rebound at top of the key, pass up the court, player dribbles from 3pt line for layup

thats more plausible for 2 seconds.
