I thought the weekly account of Kumiko Cups games (formerly Canada Cup) was always interesting - I hope to revive this thread for this season, as always feedback is appreciated - I hope you enjoy.

The week 3 match ups are up and I thought that the following games would prove to be the most interesting, current rankings are indicated:

Harlem Strikers - 29 vs Webfoots - 37
Team Dragon - 58 vs Manitoba Marksmen - 53
(Toss up between these two games)

Also interesting would be the following games:

Richmond Porkchops - 46 vs Sauga City Spiders - 81
Dream Shakers - 20 vs East York Thunder - 78

Rounding out the match ups are:

MBCT - 100 vs Sierra Madre etc... - 145

I am curious to see what people think about a few things:

1) Who is the favorite this season?
2) Which no Naismith team will make the longest run?

For me I am going to say LPP wins it all.

However, I don't really wanna see the name of my team here before all-star game.

1) League: LPP or GM if his salary is sustainable and Cup: PT

2) Must be the best crop of new teams? Each over 650k salary and solid. I'll say Superfreakys because I saw him bidding on even more quality players yesterday. Also, we go back to mid-2010 when Gianrico Zamperini (GOAT) ruled the league.

For week 4 - the match ups are starting to heat up as the bots are starting to disappear.

Oh boy. I get The Hounds in the cup. Also in a league I am facing beanerz (he has a bot in the cup) and Green Machines (has a league III team). Couldnt be much worse

You don't have much to worry about with me. My team is a bit of a mess with poor GS and players constantly needing to be played out of position.

Just try not to kill my trainees.

I will do my best not to. Porblem is that I am just 8 deep and total of 720 minutes needs to be accomodated over this week. No matter how I put it together somebody will play more than they are supposed to :/

You could always just tank our game? Or I could just CT to make sure I win and that your guys don't play too muck :)

I am considering tanking. Dont want the repeat of last season when I lost a cup after OT because of trying to win all 3 games in a week. Everything would be much easier if I didnt have LPP and tough BBB game in the following week :D

And if I didnt go on holidays forcing me to set tactics for all 5 games this week today :D

I apologize for the delay in getting to the Week 5 matchups - but it has been one of those weeks that mercilessly pulls you back into real life - Yes, I had one of those " I am stuck entertaining (and paying for lunch, dinner, and everything else) the dreaded brother-in-law from out of town week-end"
