I was just looking around the teams that play in B3 this season and i was astonished to see that there are some participants that didn't win any national competition. Is there any thing i'm missing?

For example:

They all won the B3 at some point, so they are invited every year.

That was what i was thinking but i don't really agree that is the choice. I would think a better way would be to have maybe the runner-up in the tournament or league because the level would be higher. For example some of the older teams that did win the B3 are now in the 5000 to 10.000 position in the world. I think that is an unfair andvantage for the teams that play them during the B3 league. But that is just an opinion.

I understand the priciple but there is a bigger difference in playing a 900k Paskistan team and a 300k 9th place team in Moldova. I think that the Pakistan team has a real chance against the USA champion if he would pay attention to form.
I only think the B3 should be the best of the best and giving second place teams a chance would make the competition more competitive.
But this is the way the game is set so this is just an opinion.

It happened that champions from big country sold most of their roster during the offseason.
I agree and the funny thing is the most of the B3 past winners had to sell the roster because they invested to much to get to win the competition.

i wish i can participaate in the discussion of this thread, but B3 for me is about 10 seasons in the future yet.
but at least its fun to read the differing opinions
