Any bold predictions this year? Cleveland doesn't win the East.

Sure, I'll throw a couple out there:

Bobcats get out of the first round of the playoffs.

New York Knicks do not reach the playoffs again.

Denver and Phoenix make the playoffs in the West, forcing Memphis and Portland out of the playoffs.

3 out of the 4 teams that make the conference finals will not be called: Spurs, Heat, Pacers, or Thunder (For the first time in 2 seasons)

Milwaukee Bucks go from their 15 win season to a 30+ win season.

Derrick Rose averages 20+ PPG and 7+ APG.

DeAndre Jordan shoots 60%+ from the FT line.

Miami faces Cleveland at some point in the playoffs.

I'm hoping that at least 4 of those 8 can happen. All of them are a little bit of a stretch.

Just simulated the entire NBA season with my brain. Here's what happens:

Bulls and Clippers tie for the best record in the NBA.

Mavericks finish third in the West.

Hornets miss the playoffs.

The same 8 teams that made the playoffs in the West last year make it again. (Although the Nuggets and Suns almost sneak in)

Despite being the 1 seed in the West, the Clippers lose in the first round to the Grizzlies.

The Pacers lose in the first round to the Nets.

Conference finals end up being Bulls vs Cavs, Spurs vs Thunder.

The Cavs end up losing to the Bulls because of a lack of a chemistry.

The Spurs advance to the finals, and at this point you may realize that these aren't all entirely bold predictions.

Spurs beat the Bulls in the finals.

Probably could make more bold predictions but I've already used the maximum amount of energy that I can in a day and so I'll probably take a nap instead.

I got a bold one

Derrick Rose gets injured again.

Anthony Bennett suddenly becomes an allstar

Sacramento Kings somehow make the playoffs

Rockets and Mavs will get into a big fight on National TV

Kobe and Rondo demands trade 2 weeks into season

Wggins carries Wolves to playoffs

Trail Blazers get 1st seed over Thunder by a small margin.

Bosh suddenly shines without Lebron in Miami

76ers go 8-74 proclaiming worst record in history, does not get 1st Overall Pick, instead gets 5th.

Bobcats win the finals.

Paul George just snapped his leg in half.

Did anyone else see this? It was worse than the Kevin Ware leg break.

Tragedy for any sports fan, regardless of what team you cheer for.

I hope he's able to recover...

Very "truly" sad. If you guys did not watch it. Google NBA Videos, and you'll find the Nba videos. I hope he is able to come before the starting of the season.

I can tell you right now he will not be able to. The season begins at the end of October (So a little under 3 months until the first games), and his injury was no 3 month injury. I suspect he will be out for at least half of this upcoming season if not all of it. To put it in perspective Kevin Ware returned to playing after his gruesome injury after about 8 months.

Which of course brings my inevitable reaction: is it hockey season yet?

(Of course, if you had told me during the mid to late 90s that all my time as a Pacer fan would be rewarded with as many NBA titles as I personally have won, while the Kings would actually not only become a real contender in the NHL but actually win two Cups, I would have taken it as soon as the shock wore off.)
