How many seasons does the average 19 year-old player with MVP potential pop for?

Depends on if you are training him every week, and what you are training on him as well as what position he is. Generally you can train MVP players till they are at least 26-27, usually even later.

Also keep in mind the trainer level. a advanced train can mean he can pop faster then a minimal/basic one. And a world-renowned/exceptional trainer would mean he'd have even more pops a season. Now, don't get this mistakened with "Hey, go get a world-renowned trainer!" As i don't want ya to, but this is just a heads up.

If you're wondering about how fast a player will pop in a skill, it depends how you train it. A players potential means nothing other than its a soft cap. It wont increase speed of training.

A big factor is height. If the player is smaller his guard skills may train quicker, vice versa for taller players.
Also, it depends on how you train the team. More focused training (example - just training the PGs), will train faster rather than doing training for the whole team.
Your trainer should help the speed of training as well.

My wife regrets to inform herself that her children's pop is nowhere near 11.6 inches in length.
