Here are the details on tomorrow's Round 8, my attempt at following in the footsteps of Simon and Fewmit...

Round 8:

9 - number of NBBA teams still in, 56% of all NBBA teams
21 - number of II teams still in, 33% of all II teams
27 - number of III teams still in, 11% of all III teams
7 - number of IV teams still in, 0.7% of all IV teams
0 - number of V & VI teams still in
0 - number of bots still in,
1 - highest ranking team still in (Bullish Mentality)
426 - lowest ranking team still in (Los Angeles Clipperz)
278 - largest rank differential between opponents (#148 Skillz That Killz and #426 Los Angeles Clipperz)
2 - smallest point differential between opponents (#48 Big Head Todd & the Monsters and #50 Wolf Dogs)
38 - number of top 100 ranked teams still in
6 - number of teams referencing something California related, the most well represented locale remaining in the cup
1 - number of teams referencing Sylvester Stallone rock climbing movies

Do I count as referencing California-related with the UCLA link?

Ah no - I didn't catch that on my run through the teams, but I'll keep that in mind for the next recap.

So it is down to 4 in the cup and all teams still alive are ranked 6 or higher. That is about as much of a loaded final bracket as you get. No non-NBBA teams for the big dogs to feed on any more. Also, I think all teams have a punchers chance since Bullish (the top ranked team in USA) is not still alive.
What odds do you give the teams?

I have it as:
Tucumcari Whalers 2 to 1 (the favorites)
Eugene Register Guard 5 to 2
Beware of Dogs 3 to 1
Kurgans 3 to 1
