I have 2 rookie players (wing players) that have been getting plenty of mins ea week but i dont see them popping that much. One week they train jump shot next week pressure for defense but they only increase every few weeks. Am i not training them correctly? Should i continue alternating training or stay on one thing until i get max potential?

I think getting a pop every two weeks is normal :) are you training one position or a couple at a time? If a couple, that could be slowing down the training. Also you can find how long it takes to train a player to get a pop. There is a very good marked thread in these forums, here is the link:

you should be able to find most of the things you need to know here :)

Hey, players do not pop in skills every week! Are you getting them 48 minutes per week? A lot determines how often they will pop. Trainer level, how many positions you are training etc, and of course player age! Skills like Defense tend to be the slowest skills to train, at 18 depending on height you would be looking at a pop every 2/3 weeks or so. Doing skills alternately will not wield worse results but if you enjoy seeing pops i would train 1 skill to a specific level then another, or pops will appear to be super slow doing 1 week of each.

If they are popping every few weeks i'd say you appear to be training correctly, but as i've said above you'll have to check you are meeting all the specifics to wield best training results.

Yes.....well over 48 mins. I usually train 1 area like jump shot and the next week pressure...i primarily train those 2 rookies along with a coulple of vets who also play the guard or SF position. I do usually train 2 positions either pg & sg or sg & sf. Im afraid the weeks im training jump shot or pressure an nothing improves should i broaden the training regimine to get pops? Or stay consistanly on jump shot until they max and start training defense till it maxes and so on?
thanks

Things that affect the speed of training
- Number of minutes per week in that position
- Age of player
- Height of player
- Type of training
- Elastic effect (don't worry about this for the moment).
- Single/Double/team training.

As a general rule of thumb, if you train Pressure in single position for two to three weeks, you would get one pop in Outside Defense.... But that is going to depend on all the facts above.

My 2 players are getting well over 48 mins....pg & sg. I have an advanced trainer. I saw where i was the only human team in the league so i been saving money building up the arena and just recently purchased the expensive player for next season when i advance to div 4. I plan on buying a few more during the offseason hopefully at good prices. A 20k player along with afew 12k to 20k players an continue adding seats
