Sorry, I don't know if this may have been brought up before in the past, but it would be cool if buzzerbeater could utilize a trading system to let two players trade assets directly. Like player for player, player for money, and player for draft pick, and draft pick for money (of course the last two would be limited to other users in just your league). This would make the simulation more realistic and add much more depth to the game and how you want to go about managing your team.

Has been discussed many many times and has been shot down every single time, because it is way too easy for people to cheat when it is not the bidding system and trades are involved. Fun idea in theory but in practice there are too many problems with adding this to Buzzerbeater.

Definitely see that post "Coach" linked above. It goes into great detail on how to make it work and the sad excuses that the players make for why it wouldn't.

The most pressing reason is to save you from yourself. They want to make sure you aren't taken advantage of. We can't have you making a bad trade and making your team worse than it already is.

If we were to do trading, I think that we should put a defined cap on it. Maybe 3 trades per season, no trades from last 2 weeks (maybe even last month of the season) of the regular season to the end of the playoffs. All trades can only involve one player from each team and/or cash. Admins check to make sure that they aren't the same person controlling 2 teams, the market values and salaries of both players, and the division that each team is in. Maybe it could include a mechanism like scrimmages where you cannot make a trade during a certain time each week.

Trades are okay if the BB staff could oversee and approve all of them. Like you make the offer and wait 2 or 3 days to GM check the teams and if both teams got advantages by doing the trade.
