although i was scouting 3 players ($20,000) a week for the entire season... i don't have any information on the players 31-48 and there is only 9 players who got scouted twice(including 4 junk players who already had 2 and below stars)

Maybe there should be a way to hopefully correct this by adding a Scouting Director to the Staffing position. If you have a crap scouting director(like i must have) then you should have the draft order to choose from like i do. If you want a better chance at landing good prospects... then maybe you should invest in a better scouting director.

Perhaps something for the suggestions folder?

I think it would be way too complicated to employ something like that at this stage in the game's development, especially as the potential system itself is only being brought in from now onwards and is still unproven as to how it will actually work out in the long term. It will need tweaking no doubt, as all new developments will do once it's seen how they work in reality.

If you start adding in an extra 2 or 3 layers of scouting like you suggest, you might as well add in extra coaches, like a conditioning coach for stamina and game shape. How about you throw in a new press officer position, or a commercial agent for building contacts in the business world to sell more luxury box seats? Hey, how about we add a sports psychologist in there so that the young guys develop quicker by being more focused and the older guys can get out of that form slump that's been hounding them for 2 seasons since they won MVP?

All good ideas in theory, but in reality it would take a team of 50+ developers working 20 hours a day a good 6 months to program, test, design and successfully implement all the new things that they could do, and they're not all guaranteed to be received well by the BB players. Besides, before you even sent your scouts to watch that amazing kid that dazzles in the college leagues in his freshman year, you'd realise that your wage bill for the week is $300k+ because you've hired so many staff, then you have to pay the players you do have and yet you can't even bring in $150k from the 1 home game you get each week. Ergo, bankrupcy.

Besides, I'm sure there are people in the same position as yourself, feeling hard done by with the draft. At the end of the day, it's random for everyone. You might even end up scouting a guy with hall of famer potential that fits absolutely perfectly into your team and training rota. Until you actually see what you get in terms of actual player stats, it's only theory.

The season is 14 weeks long, so if you scouted 3 per week you would have 42 pieces of information (instead of 39), unless you switched at the start of the season.

I think the draft works pretty well with less than 100% information. If everyone had more complete information it would make draft position a lot more important, and teams would throw games. It could also make a really huge difference for teams in leagues with lots of bots.
