We here are the power rankings for the rosters as I see them on October 15th. Hopefully everyone understands this is just my attempt and I am no Vegas odds maker :)

The plan is to update them on a weekly basis based on results, transfers etc.

#1 The Rajan Stajans - coming off an upset victory in the Naismith finals the Stajans top the list. This is not the deepest roster in Naismith but his starting five rival any starting five in not only Canada but the World.

#2 Syndicalist BC - A couple of key off season additions moves this team into the number two seed. With one of the biggest payrolls in Naismith expectations for this squad will be extremely high. The season kicks off with a crucial matchup against The Rajan Stajan's so we will quickly get a feel for how these teams compare.

#3 Green Machines - The Green Machines could have easily been the number one seed to start the year. Coming off a devastating loss in the finals the Machine have not made any significant roster moves so should be right back at the top of the standings when season 29 ends.

#4 Lawrence Park Panthers - Mr. Burns has been a constant in Naismith for many seasons, but based on todays roster his window to win is getting small. The majority of his roster are veterans with only a season or two left before the decline. So you can anticipate a big push from this experience group of players.

#5 Superfreakys - Top five team today but many transfers pending could drop this team to the bottom five overnight. Lets see what Gazou has up his sleeve before judging this roster, his knowledge of the game could allow him to quickly turn the corner and be back in top spot for seasons to come.

#6 Beanz Odyssey - Seriously this team is weird. They have trainees that are second to none but don't currently own a legitimate center. They should remain competitive but without dipping back into the market don't expect big things from Beanerz crew.

#7 Moth Balls - The roster as of today comes in at the number seven spot. Based on the rumor on the transfer front this may quickly change, apparently he is hunting some big game...

#8 Quebec Pugs Sparkys group is always a tough battle and this season will be no different. I anticipate seeing him on the market to increase his payroll and make a push for the top 5 this season.

#9 Herman Griffins Definitely a solid roster, just not enough elite talent to rank higher. With a low payroll and high income the Griffins could be a threat.

#10 Headless Thompson Gunners - It seems the constant battle to stay up is about to end. HTG is a veteran manager who in my opinion will be looking to grab a playoff berth this season. Expect some roster moves and a run up the standings.

#11 The Hounds Good to have you back in Naismith. The Hounds know how to win at this level but may just choose to play it cool and collect the giant paydays Naismith has to offer.

#12 Laval Giants The first true new team to hit the board. The Giants have put up some solid ratings and appear to have a few high quality players. Lets see what they can do in the big leagues.

#13 Team Dragon Supporting upwards of 500k in salary the Dragons will be battling to avoid relegation. There is no question this manager can get some wins, but will it be enough.

#14 SG United SG is going with the quantity over quality theory. Todays roster is not going to strike fear into anyone unless a brawl breaks out in which case most opponents will be out numbered two to one.

#15 Canuckleheads A new promote that has major work to do to ensure he is not back in the second division for season 30.

#16 Pszczyna Team A top Naismith teams for many season before deciding to change directions and focus on training. Deep pockets could easily allow him to pick up great trainees and avoid relegation if he so chooses.

Great idea. Disagree about big pockets though. DOnt have those, and after getting 2 trainees I might end up without money :D

Thanks. Don't lie to me you are sitting on a boat load of cash. You are correct trainees will take a large portion of it but you will also have some significant income this season.

Hopefully it stimulates some discussion and perhaps a few rivalries. I look forward to hearing why people think their team is to low/high :)

I will most likely have less than 3.5 million after getting two trainees (looking at market prices), and no other players worth a cent. If that is boatload then I agree :D Yeah, will be curious to see what kind of revenue I can get, since fan surve will be disastrous. Probably 150-200k a week would be my assumption?

And I kind of think that GDP made this game even more random. Wish they found different way for reducing strength of LI.....
Stajan doesnt have the strongest team (he has to spend a lot to compete in BBB especially after removing blank lineup, and I hope he does), and although a risk paid of for him, I kind of hope that the best team still wins majority of times

Awesome work, I would say there will be a lot of change in the first couple of weeks before things settle down. With Green Machines making a big sale it could hurt him a bit. Also SG United has not logged in for a bit... hoping he does not go bot.

I agree that Stajan does not have the best team, but he does have the best starting five. Combine that with his upset victory and I felt he warranted top spot. It may not last long but for this week Stajan can continue to enjoy being number one.

I agree the sale of Jerry could hurt Green Machines however it also opens up 180k in salary that he has to work with.

I'll be overtaken for that #1 spot right off the bat. Rankings are good though for now.

Yes, a tough schedule to start for you may result in dropping a spot. But you have been known to pull of unexpected wins.

BTW how is the hat eating video coming along?

I didn't forget, I'm just delaying. Would like to keep it as honest as possible, but wouldn't be super interested in messing up my insides. I won't cheat and eat, like, a paper hat either.

I'll counter with a filthy blended concoction of 1 can salmon, 1 cup cat food, 1 grapefruit. I've actually blended a can of salmon (without the other stuff) before in a fit of desperation or lack of time and I could taste every molecule even with my nose plugged. 100x more pungent and awful than non-blended. Most regrettable action I've had. If this is a no, then I'll probably delay a bit more but eventually give in. Meh.
