Hey all,

I thought I would start a thread for the upcoming season for all of us to discuss the happenings of our league in season 29. First off I'd like to say that I wasn't expecting to be promoted to the DIV level after finishing 11-11 in DV last season. I took over my team just before the all star break and brought them back from a 2-8 record to make the playoffs clinching the 3 seed from my conference in the last week of regular season games. It looks like this league had a competitive playoffs last season in which Onionz upset Wausau Wolfs in the conference finals. With last season's champion Jumpstop Jumpers now promoted to D3, who is going to be this season's champion? I doubt my team will be all that competitive as I am one of the weaker teams in the league. I will most likely focus on training and saving up resources to continue expanding my arena and for buying future Hawkeyes. Best of luck to everyone this season.

Cheers,
Go Hawks!

Thx...yes it was exciting playoff run last season. Of course i was bounced in the 1st round by the eventual champs jumpers who were simply badass and built for d 3. Looks like another competitive season. Wausau, sharks, balls of fury and a few others look damn tuff, well balanced and primed to win it. I am at a point where i may buy a couple young guys to add to my training as my vets may be sold. I did purchase another hot sg during the offseason to help with more outside scoring and so far so good. But if i go on a loosing streak and realize im not going to get far in the playoffs, i'll sale and tank the season and focus on arena and building up a young team. I suck at training in the past but getting the hang now. But, however i am going to be training bigs and smalls somehow....tricky but i learned a couple things from the forums. So....yeah, good luck to all. Keep this thread alive....by the way. Im from indianapolis, in. It be cool to find out where u all are from.

Started off 0-6 due to inactivity, but I'm back at this for another try.

BAlls OF FURY just got more furious. Dude just bought a stud point guard to add to his studs of superstars. I lost a VERY close one to him then came back this week to barely edge Wausau. Its going to be tuff gaming for them. Maybe Onions or Wausau will expose FURYs weekness. Good luck.

I'm surprised that I am 4-4 so far, figured I'd be below .500 at this point. I was shocked to see my score against Hidden Ninjas last night until I realized his team is now managed by a bot due to inactivity. Could be some interesting matchups in the playoffs. From what I gather it looks like there is a 3 way race from the Big 8 with Onionz, Wausau, & Charlotteville. Charlotteville also recently acquired a veteran that may just be the best player in the league. From the Great 8 it's looking like Ballz of Fury & Southport Pacers are the teams to beat. It's going to be fun to see the outcome come playoff time.

I was kinda kidding lol. I probably shouldn't have said anything, I think I might lose to Wolfs since they're at home. I'm also trying to do some different things with my lineup to train more efficiently, since I have too many solid trainees.

Hey guys, just wanted to say this is my first season ever on Buzzerbeater! & I gotta say its actually very engaging and entertaining. I took over my team about 4 games into this season and just witnessing the journey of not just my team but everyone elses is quite compelling if I must say haha. I know you guys will probably not be up for this, but since I am still kind of new to this whole scheme of things, I was wondering if you guys had any early team tips and tricks so I can at least be a little more competitive in this very prestigious league of ours haha. Either way, I just wanted to post my experiences thus far, and I will enjoy finishing out the season with you guys!

Go Otters!

Wecome...first, take your time and getting to understand the game and the game engine... The money you got in the beginning build up your arena that's the most important because that's the way you make your money back.look at other teams that are successful see how they play they're offenses and defense. don't be afraid to mix it up every game to throw other teams off especially when you get really competitive... But for now its cool to mix it up as well just to get a feel formed ur teams strong points and weaknesses. I've been playing this for a couple of years now and I have been stuck in this league for a while now... I build up a team with some vets but knowing i need to invest in younger guys. Look at balls of fury, onions and wausau...those guys are saavy and u can learn alot from seeing how they draft and build they're teams and run they're offenses an defense.
Ask questions in the forums. .. dont be afraid to ask...even the most basic questions or suggestions. You may get some a hole but there are many top tier managers that can give u much valuable advice that can make ur team a force. just remember always invest in your arena.welcome to buzzer beater season 29 and good luck
