Looks like you all have to put up with me as manager again.

Scouting will be done over the next few days - if you have a player you think could make the team, or want advice on a prospect, feel free to drop me a message.

The NT games for season 29 kick off tomorrow night. The games are on at a user friendly 9pm AEDST - we kick off against Pakistan.

A reminder to anyone who wants to join in the discussions on the team to join the federation: http://www.buzzerbeater.com/community/fedoverview.aspx?fedid=19765

I've picked 10 players for now, to give us maximum flexibility as we (hopefully!) hit the tougher phases of the Asian cup. The team will again be lead by the familiar faces of Schnieder, Degas, Scoggins, Reiffel, Faletoese and Anderson. Lonergan regains his spot after missing out last season, while Riemers and Barth retain their spots also. Ryan McMillan is the one relatively new face - after having a few games last season he is welcomed to the squad as a full fledged member.

There are still 8 spots left on the team - so keep training your players, and make sure to keep them in good gameshape!

1 game down, and one win. Would have been disappointing if we didn't win, but a 44 point win is pretty comprehensive, and gives us the highest PD in the Asian tournament thus far. So that's something.

Our start and finish was disappointing, but we killed the game in the 2nd and third quarters. Burl Barth had probably his best game in NT colours, with a lazy 36 points and 8 3 pointers. He was ably supported by Degas, until he went down with an injury, while McMillan, Rieffel and Lonergan were also good.

On the other end of the scale, I was expecting a bit more from Riemers, but everyone is allowed an off game. And our starting big combo of Anderson and Schnieder had games to forget - barely scoring and allowing the opposing PF to score at will.

Next game is next week against Thailand.

Another game, another 40+ point win. The team again easily dispatched with Thailand, putting on an offensive clinic. We shot over 50% from the field, almost 50% from three point land, and nailed 15 treys.

It was a good all round team performance, with only Anderson and Scoggins failing to hit double figures - but they did their work on the boards and defensively. Lonergan was great, scoring 22 points, while Degas and Schnieder were also effective offensively. McMillan is also showing a habit of scoring a few threes in limited court time. Barth was incredibly efficient when he was on the court.

We have a bye up next - so we'll have a scrim this week, and play 96th ranked Lebanon in a fortnight.

After a scrimmage week, the NT is back in action this week against Lebanon. Game is on 10pm tonight.

We are a bit injury hit at the moment, so Sushant Pradip has been brought into the squad as the 11th member of the team.

Well, despite being injury hit, the squad received a last minute boost as Burl Barth was announced fit to play, giving us a 9 man squad to take on Lebanon.

Not much more to say than we won pretty comfortably. With 3 games left, we can't miss out on the 2nd round now (indeed, all of the 2nd round teams have been decided across all pools, with 3 rounds left. That's gotta be pretty unique).

Riemers and Anderson splashed down the 3s - Anderson's performance was particularly impressive for a big in an outside offense - with Barth also strong and all our players doing a good job on defense.

MVP votes:

3. Keith Anderson
2. Steve Riemers

Excellent win and it is wonderful to have both NTs doing so well and in such safe hands.

With two games left in the final stage, we remain safely on top of our group. Clearly, the next phase of the Asia champs will be alot tougher though!

Our squad currently only sits at 11 players, so we have alot of room to add some players. I'll probably start adding at the beginning of the next phase, so if you have a player on the edge of the NT squad, now is the time to start getting them in proficient gameshape to boost their chances.

Anyone with future NT prospects, now is also a good time to send me some updates of their skill sets.
