So my starting PF has been in foul trouble in pretty much every game. In the only game I have lost so far this season he fouled out at the start of the 4th. I don't understand why he's ultra aggressive. I know certain players are aggressive but this guy is ridiculous. As I'm typing this he has 5 fouls at halftime. Is there anything I can do or is it a lost cause? I don't want to be forced to sell him because he's my best scorer but all the fouls are annoying me.

Sell him. He is a lost cause :)

Joking aside, he is an aggressive player. You could try playing a slower offense, or change your substitution settings. If he has low stamina, try increasing it so he doesn't get tired as often. Along with that, low defense (in his case, ID) can cause him to foul.

You can do some things that help a little but it's not gonna change a lot. Training shot blocking will help, as well as OD and ID and stamina so it's not under 5 anymore. Then playing a slow pace and matching him up with a player that doens't draw many fouls can help too.

Well his stamina is at proficient so thats not really an issue. I guess I can increase his defense but his OD is pretty good for a big man and his ID is alright as well. And I play many different tactics so that GDP can't be used against me so that's going to be tough to change.

The bolded part is extremely good advice. It still won't always work, but the fewer possessions there are in a game and the longer you control the ball on your possessions the less time your player will have to draw defensive fouls (though, of course, aggressive guys can also take offensive fouls). The matchup part is probably the best advice, though - if you can find that the opponent routinely plays a player at PF that doesn't shoot many FTs and doesn't foul a lot himself, while the center draws fouls and fouls a lot himself, playing the aggressive guy against the PF can maybe have him get through a game where he might not make it to halftime against the C.

SB is arguably the most important skill, as a big with high ID but low SB Will contest many shots, but foul because his inability to properly block the shot.

If you cover guards you take less fouls.
What is his defense?

This is indeed an important part of it. Nachtmahr had some nice stats on how the fouling is very low with high SB players.

Ignore every advice you've read here, there's nothing you can do to decrease his level of fouling. Get rid of him!
