Another myth of another hidden trait. I know that there is a lot of speculation as to whether or not an "aggressiveness" trait, or lack thereof, exists, which affects how prone a player is to foul and be fouled.

I have a theory though, of another hidden trait: Leadership. I don't have any data to support my claim, but I watch almost all of my games (because I'm a dork) and I notice that my team fairs better as a whole when player X is on the court, such as limiting long streaks by the opponent, fewer turnovers for the team, better team FG%, etc. The only metric really that can measure this possible trait is +/-, but even this might be misleading. My theory is that there is a leadership trait attached to players that acts as a multiplier on the entire teams skills (or some skills) when that player is on the court. Some players could have positive leadership, and some could have negative leadership.

I am very intrigued by the possibility of hidden skills in BB because I believe that it adds a sense of richness to the game, and provides additional intel to owners who are determined enough to discover these traits. I don't believe it will make the game too complicated if these hidden traits have small effects. For instance, for my theoretical leadership trait, the maximum leadership level would add 1 point to every skill (or certain skills) to every player on the court. If the effect is too large, then I believe it will frustrate and alienate new players or players who don't have the time to figure this out, which is bad for the game.

I believe that the potential to learn something new about the game will also retain players who have been around for awhile. From what I understand, King Drive Ballers has dropped of the map, which is very sad. Perhaps if he believed there was something else to be discovered about the game, he would have stayed longer. Perhaps.

If these hidden traits don't exist, what are the possibilities of implementing them in the future?

When the guy who wrote the code says it's there, and you can readily see examples of its effect, I'd say that is more than a theory or a myth.

Totally agree.

Ive read posts in the past where BB's have said "NO" to the question of hidden traits. I didn't know it was confirmed that they exist. But that's great news to me!
